Hello. I have a lot of pain in both my hips. It's particularly noticeable when I stand up after sitting for a while or getting out of bed. After a few minutes walking it eases up but doesn;t disappear.

I'm an otherwise healthy, athletic 27-year-old man who plays sport. This started about 3 weeks ago and shows no sign of letting up.

Have you taken oral steroids for a long time or been binging on alcohol? You may have a problem with the blood supply to your femoral head. See an orthopedic surgeon. Nothing to lose.

Go to see your doctor; you won't get any definite answers on here. It will be purely guess work.

Get a check up from your GP. It could be muscular, or nerve, or joint. Don't ignore it though, early treatment could be key.

Get with your doctor on this. They need to check you for arthritis. It might also me a repetitive motion issue, especially if you are into martial arts.

You better go get an x-ray. It could be your hip or female organs.
