Yes, a vet can help. They need to determine why the dog has diarrhea and treat the problem...

Send him to the vet. If not then do not give him anything to eat for 1 or 2 days but always give him water to drink. He should recover or otherwise it's something more serious and a visit to a vet is a must.

don't feed the dog any wet or canned food. also no milk, no treats such as shmackos etc. and no soggy foods. give the dog just dry food for a couple of days and see what happens. it worked with my dog. if it doesnt work take the dog to the vet. Good Luck!!

yes i would say take him to the vet asap. thing is he could have something in his stomach or some other illness.
most importantly though is he would be dehydrated from losing alot of fluids.
so make sure he drinks alot and if he is not drinking water give him some chicken broth.
so take him to the vet asap
good luck!!

take a stool sample to the vet get it checked for worms. some worms cause diarrhea give him a pepto tablet and see if that helps. It could be cause of diet change, he got something he is not used to and is having a bit of digestive upset!!

Besides from taking him to the vet? Try feeding him rice and plain cooked chopped beef. That's what most vets say.
