He has played the Doctor before in the radio shows and audio books. I think he'd make a good Doctor. Personally I would say Richard O'Brien would be a fantastic replacement to David Tennant should he decide to leave. But Richard E Grant would be just as good. Maybe he should play him like he plays the character Zak in the Argos adverts. Some of them are quite funny, with Julia Sawalia as his companion

Didn't he play the doctor in an animated version a few years back? I like the current actor, but Richard E Grant would make an excellent choice

Personally after Spice World I don't think he should be in any film but I also agree with Bogwoppit, it would make a real good twist in the program however I think C A T also makes a very good point, Rik Mayall would make an excelent Dr also Adrian Edmundson would be good in that role!!!!

Ive never thought about it till now. But hell yeah, he would be brilliant hes got the right voice and accting abilities. I dont watch it at the moment because of the lead. I'm sorry all the fans out there but i really dont like that Tenant geezer

He would make a perfect doctor except for one thing... isnt the doctor getting younger with every regeneration? or is that just a coincidence.
and please, for the love of sanity dont have a female doctor, he's bad enough at driving the tardis as a man.

Yeah, good choice! My all time dream vote would be for Stephen Fry, though. He'd be the best doctor of all time.
