Alternatively, apply to Mensa for a specimen test. Take the test. Submit it. You will be told your IQ after it's been assessed. You will be under no obligation to join Mensa, even if your IQ is of suitable level.

You can do on-line IQ tests via the internet if you wish.

You should not expect a high degree of accuracy, but they can give you a good idea.

If you are exceptionally bright, you may find your score is limited by these tests, as there are ceilings in the scoring. The most common ones top out at 136 or 138.

Here are two possibilities. I have not tried either of them but they looked interesting.

This one offers tests in several areas of knowledge, and you can select one or all of them.

This one claims to test to a high of 150:

MENSA offers comprehensive testing and it is usually affordable.

MENSA requires that you take their test before you can join, unless you have scores from other sources that demonstrate your qualification.

You can contact MENSA in your country/locale and inquire about tests and joining the organization, where you can meet other bright people.

If you take an IQ test it does not mean you have to join MENSA! If you would like to know your IQ take a test (search IQ test in google) it has nothing to do with MENSA. But if you want to join MENSA you have to take a supervised MENSA IQ test.

I was a member of Mensa for a year. Renewing each year was too expensive for me though.

I read the newsletters and went to the meetings, and found out that it was much like any other group of people united by a single characteristic. Some were interesting, some were boring, some arrogant, some meek, etc.

IQ doesn't guarantee anything by itself. You still have to have common sense, learn from experience, and apply yourself. It is an interesting factoid in some instances - mostly among other 'braniacs' -and a liability in others..."If you're so smart, why can't you______?" (Insert anything!)

Why give credence to this spurious idea? Show how intelligent you are by not pursuing this ridiculous objective.
