why are so many people becoming muslim?

if it is a so called violent, perversed, evil, war causing religion?
isnt it like the 2nd or 3rd increasing religion in the world.
why is this? i dont see anyone forcing it by the sword or people having no knowledge of the good & bad of everything.

SO WHY ARE SO MANY PPL COMING TO ISLAM?

1.Christian Scientists are declaring the Quran is from God. Many atheists & Scientists convert to Islam as they discover that the quran is only truth and all the science in it has been proven.

2.The Christian Bishops and Priests are admitting the Bible has tensions. Basically the bible has been changed and was written by men who wrote and altered whatever they wanted!

3.Perhaps they're discovering the Facts and not basing their decision on a biased media?

4. Perhaps they realize their Soul is worth the Factual Research.

5. Prophet Muhammed was mentioned in the bible as the last prophet.

You're right. People are not forced by the sword, yet others somehow think they are. It's weird what the bad apples do to the good ones...isn't it?

But, as you pointed out with that last sentence, it is NOT a hateful, evil religion. People are coming to realize that. Unfortunately, ignorance (and, quite honestly, stupidity) prevents many from seeing it.

muslims reproduce a lot but that is NOT the only reason ppl become muslim, if you state that (somebody on here did) you are ignoring A LOT of ppl...and it is a very low percentage of converts that convert to get married---very low--there was a report recently by pew that stated the number but I don't remember it --besides that, blame yourselves if you do not reproduce enough to keep your faith or beliefs whatever they may be going

besides that latin americans reproduce a lot and so do africans yet africa is the only continent where christianity (specifically catholicism) is on the rise

and about the ritual--sorry but there is a lot more ritual in other religions--I was an orthodox christian and the religion is FULL of ritual and has more little trinkets etc to keep you busy

if somebody changes religions because of sympathy then they are really stupid.

Get an educated--and not one of those watered down ones either. Being litterate is more than just reading words--you need to understand what you read and the context it comes from.

People love rules; stupid or ignorant people love them more than intelligent/well-educated people. When there are rules, you don't have to think; you don't have to feel insecure; you don't have to come to the realization that there is a sort of randomness about the world that can be terrifying. Islam provides a very strict set of rules for such people to follow.

The only thing that scares many of these people more than randomness is things that are DIFFERENT. They fear anything that doesn't line up precisely with what is familiar to them. They will fight to the death to force others to see things their way because they ARE so scared of that which is different. Again, it's inability and/or unwillingness to thing for oneself that comes into play here; the notion of expending the effort it would take to understand and accept a plurality of beliefs is simply beyond many people (and that's not just true of Muslims, but of anyone who has difficulty accepting someone who's different from themselves). It's really no different from the early Catholic church in many respects - lots of rules, harsh penalties for those who don't believe/obey, etc., so it's nothing new in our world - just different.

The only way you can find that out is by reading the source of Islam. THe Holy Quran, read it in the language you understand best, most likely english. I dont mean to covert you, just want you to know that when you want to understand a pheonmenon, you have to understand its source. THat is the Quran. Read it once just for curious intrest and I assure you that you will get your answer.

I became Muslim because I learned the truth about Islam and practicing it gives me much peace, hope and happiness.

The media is highly inaccurate and makes a lot of money with its biased information. Islam is not violent, evil, perversed or war causing. People are the cause of that.

you are totaly wrong about muslims fighting and all.
there are worldwide MANY good muslims
there are only a few suckers like osama bin laden , saddam hussein that think they are so big , and spoil the reputation of muslims
but muslims are not bad or evil or killing people , its sad that a few people are nutcases and do that kind of stuff
but do not have a bad perception of muslims
infact to be honest , muslims are very attached and loyal to their religion . do you realise that muslims are the ONLY religion that does not convert into other religions
because we believe in our religion , and i feel other religions should do the same thing to , if ur a christian , do not convert , believe in ur religion
that is why muslims do not marry other races unless the other race converts into islam . muslims are loyal to their religion and do not betray it .

Forcing? Yes, it happens. You probably don't hear about it because it goes on in another part of the world. In the "muslim" countries, if anyone converts to Christianity for example, they are generally killed.
There's a whole lot more to it than you know.
I can't really say much about it because someone will just report me for what I write and it would be deleted most likely.

Let's try something new. Let's try honesty, for a change.
The fact is that there are two sides to this story.
Muslims, of course, believe that their religion is the true religion, if they didn't, they wouldn't be Muslims, would they?
They would leave the religion, they would convert...wouldn't they?
Well, here in the U.S., that would be an option, but is it really an option in Muslim countries? How many people have been killed for the audacity of wanting to convert to another faith? Does that really happen? Do people actually face death for leaving Islam? Because, if that is true, then the numbers cannot be trusted.
