My cat is pregnant and I don't know how long she's been pregnant. She is an indoor/outdoor cat so I don't see her very much until night time. So I really have no idea when she got pregnant. Sometimes she'll disappear for a couple days. I noticed she was getting really fat like 2 weeks ago, and last night she hopped up on my lap and I felt her belly and the babies were moving around. I could feel them pushing or kicking against the walls of her belly. How long do you think it will be?

She has a big huge soft and very warm sleeping bag that she sleeps on in the garage. I am sure this is probably where she'll give birth to the kittens. Is it OK to touch them after the first day? Macy (my cat) trusts me very much and we are very close. Do you think she'll negelect them if I touch them too soon? She is a 1 person cat. I am married and have a son and I am the only one she comes to.
Is that a good sign as far as the trust between me, her, and the kittens? That is all I am worried about. I don't want to cause any problems.

you will know when she is ready to give birth when she goes to a soft secluded spot. keep her indoors till she has her kittens, so you know where she has them. Usually under something such as a bed. get a box and line it with soft towels and cut out one of the sides. Within the next few days possibly a week she will birth. try not to interfere with the babies she will clean and take care of them herself.

Probably a few days to a week. she'll hide out somewhere dark and quiet, under the bed or so. If you can give her a quiet closet with some blankets in the far back corner, she'd be stoked. When she disappears, let her be. She'll do her thing. Unless she WAILS uncontrollably for minutes, or bleeds profusely, leave her alone until she comes out to you. Good luck.
