The answer is no, you should not wait.
1. How do you know you will get an opportunity later? You can get hit by a truck and be dead before you know it.
2. If you are using this as an excuse not to repent, then you won't repent later either.
3. Salvation, the gift of God through faith in Christ, is not something God will take away. There are views that say it can, but they lead to despair or to ridiculous conclusions like yours above. Salvation involves you dying to sin and rising to new life--you are a "new creation"--literally. God becomes the literal Father of your new spiritual eternal life. If it is eternal, then how can you lose it? If Jesus says "no-one can pluck them from my hand", if "nothing in all creation can separate us from the love of God", then our salvation is secure.
4. Worrying that our salvation depends on our continual effort to keep believing makes it a salvation by works. No, the Bible tells us that we are saved by God's grace.

No. May I remind you that you do not know when you will die. Not everyone has a deathbed. Futhermore, even people who do usually die as they have lived. If someone has rejected Jesus Christ all their lives, they ususally don't accept Him as their Lord and Savior on their deathbed. There are glorious expections but they are exceptions.
Beyond all that, although salvation is based on faith not works, for those who have been saved they can receive rewards for faithful service here on earth. You would miss out on all that. You would miss out on living out the life you were meant for.
As it says in Scripture
"[N]ow is the acceptable time", behold now is "the day of salvation."
Don't wait.

Hi,
1. The next time you go to bed, you may not wake up. The next time you cross the street, you may not reach the other side. If you can accurately predict your death, then you may reasonably start to explore when a good time to begin having faith is. Suicide is not an option.
2. In the end, Pharaoh drove Moses and his people out of Egypt after suffering 10 plagues that God had laid upon him one by one as signs of His existence and omnipotence (and which Pharoah dismissed as magic). As the walls of water from the parted sea fell over his head and he realized that death was upon him, Pharaoh had a change of heart:
"....till when drowning overtook him (Pharoah) he said 'I believe that there is no god but the One whom the children of Israel believed in and I have submitted.' What, now? After you had refused to believe before, and were of the corrupters? So this day shall We deliver you in your body that you may be a sign (admonition) to those after you. And verily, many among mankind are heedless of Our signs." Quran 10:90-92
Bottom Line: There are no scalpers outside the gates of heaven. You have to pay a dear price and you have to commit to it as early as you can, cause the show may start tomorrow.

All humankind are sinners - no getting around that. The object is to avoid the temptation. If you don't, God forgives provided you ask for it and you attempt to atone. Forgivness never runs out. No getting salvation by works alone. So start now - don't wait. You would be cheating yourself of living a life of greater meaning. Once forgiven, God casts those sins in a sea of his forgetfullness. Never to be held against you again.

You can mess your faith up. You also can strengthen it. Will you take that risk to believe in God now and stand for the chance to hear him say 'Well done'?
Christianity is about salvation, yes. It's just not all about your salvation.
I think this notion is selfish, in only wanting to save yourself. What of the others? I'm sure Christ wants his gift given to everyone. So you might mess up. Lose it. I think bringing salvation to maybe just one or a thousand others makes up for much more.
Christ himself said: Mat 10:39 Those who try to gain their own life will lose it; but those who lose their life for my sake will gain it.

Your question is confusing.
Jesus offers a person the opportunity to be saved, the decision is up to the individual to accept or decline the offer.
If someone was to wait till they were about to die to have faith would be a ridiculous plan . . . what would one do if they suddenly died and didn't get the opportunity to be saved first?
God Bless

Well, that goes back to my concept that Christians are lazy .. they can sin their whole life as long as on their death bed they proclaim and accept that Jesus died for their sins.. then all is forgiven.
The rest of us actually have to do our best to live a good life day in and day out, or we will pay our bad deeds back in the next.

****. I cussed. I'll pray to God to forgive me, because I am a Christian, and I love him.
I love having faith, and sin is a part of life. If you're speaking of the guilt...
Sadly, not many humans care anymore.

Easier said than done. When would you decide that the time was right and how would you know. You will simply continue leading the life you were always leading.
