Why Wikipedia rejects dogma of trinity?

Neither the Old Testament nor New Testament uses the term "Trinity," though Trinitarians believe the concept is implicit in various biblical passages (see Scripture section below). The doctrine of the Trinity is the result of continuous exploration by the church of the biblical data, argued in debate and treatises.[1] It was expressed in early writings from the beginning of the second century forward.[1] The First Council of Nicaea in 325 AD established a nearly universal Trinitarian dogma and expressly rejected any heresies.

koresh: The Torah doesn't (so far as I know) contain the word monotheism, but it states there is only one god, which is the definition of monotheism.

The Bible neither explicitly mentions Trinitarianism nor implies it. As has been mentioned in this forum and elsewhere many times, and usually ignored.

People seem to walk into this forum already sure about their own beliefs and here to argue more than ask and listen.

Koresh...There are multiple scriptures which state that God is the Only true Almighty God. this backs up monotheism totally. O.K. so that specific word is not used but the principle is established.
Not so with the trinity.
It depends on there being three equal parts. all equal, and all powerful and all wise.
Yet in all his teachings, Jesus never mentioned three being equal.
He always stated he could do nothing of his [ Jesus'] own initiative. Jesus said he was LESSER THAN HIS fATHER.
And as for the Holy Spirit, throughout the Bible it came down like a dove, was granted to the 120 in the upper room, and is given out by God himself.
All these show it is not a separate personality that can function on its own decisions, but is a a FORCE that God uses. Also it is never given a specific name.
Jesus is alternatively known as MICHAEL, Almighty God is known as YHWH [ Jehovah] and we know of GABRIEL, but no name for the Holy Spirit.
Strange, considering it is supposed to be co-equal to God himself and the equivalent of Jesus.
No, the Bible does not support the IDEA of the trinity, and as such is a false teaching..
And consider this scripture;
(Exodus 34:14) For you must not prostrate yourself to another god, because Jehovah, whose name is Jealous, he is a jealous God;

Almighty God will not share his glory with anyTHING. Not even Jesus.
So the Holy Spirit is not a person, but is God's POWER.

The Old Testament never use the word "monotheism" but you would have a tough time using that to prove Jews aren't monotheists and monotheism is an unfair/later reading forced into the Bible.

Later on when they killed the prophet's shepherd, the prophet seized them, gouged out their eyes, cut their hands and legs, and left them thirsty in the desert to die."

When a Muslim declares that Islam is a religion of peace, he/she is either ignorant of the Koran (Qur'an), or is deceitfully thinking of this "peace", as it extends only to those within the Muslim Community. The deceit is that they will not tell you exactly what they mean. According to the Qur'an: "Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah. Those who follow him are merciful to one another, but ruthless to unbelievers" Sura 48:29. "Kill the Mushrikun (unbelievers) wherever you find them, and capture them and besiege them, and lie in wait for them in each and every ambush..." Sura 9:5. Also see Sura 9:29

Islam - Bukhari Volume 7, 63, Number 187:: A man divorced his wife thrice (by expressing his decision to divorce her thrice), then she married another man who also divorced her. The Prophet was asked if she could legally marry the first husband (or not). The Prophet replied, "No, she cannot marry the first husband unless the second husband has had sex with her, just as the first husband had done."

INCEST (Sex with own daughter-in-law - MUHAMMAD)

The following happened after Muhammad by chance saw his daughter-in-law getting dressed and half naked. Overcome by lusts for her, allah said the following (or so Muhammad claimed):

Q’uran 33:37 - Then when Zaid had dissolved (his marriage) with her, with the necessary (formality), We joined her in marriage to thee: in order that (in future) there may be no difficulty to the Believers in (the matter of) marriage with the wives of their sons.

Well, gee whiz, I guess they read it for themselves. The Guy said he was the SON of God. The Bible also said that Adam was the son of God, as well.
