in some cases, yes
if someone commits too violent crimes, for example, then killing this person will end his chances of doing and maybe killing more people, and this will also serve as an example and may prevent others from doing the same thing thinking that they will be put to death in doing so
even in the bible, god kills

No, because we can never be truly certain as to whether they are guilty of those crimes, and I'd rather have a thousand convicted immates rot in jail, then put one innocent person to death. With the advent of DNA testing, it's becoming painfully obvious that we have put innocent people to death many times before.

i think people do very many screwed up things, but no matter how bad, i do not believe they should be put to death. Who is it to play God and decide who lives and who doesn't. I say life in prison and make it as miserable as possible while there. Besides if they are killed then they are dead and dont have to suffer. If they live in misery for what they did that is the perfect punishment.

Jesus when told by Pilot that he had the power to put Him to death said that he would have no power at all except it be given to him by His Father, John 19:11.I gather from that, that God gives men this power.Personally I could never pull the switch.

Civilised countries do not execute their citizens, only barbarian countries do that. More and more countries are becoming civilised fortunately.

There are still five or six countries that are beyond barbarism and execute children, the insane and the mentally subnormal. The USA is one of these.

There are two governments parallel with each other. The 1st is the spiritual govt. It is composed of the Churches with its Pastors,Priests, Ministers, Bishops, Prophets and Saints, etc. The lay members of this spiritual govt in the traditions of the Catholic church are called saints. The 2nd govt is the human govt. It is called in the Bible the government of the beast. Thus, as the society of men is under the government of the beast (human govt), putting one to death as a punishment is based according to law. In the new testament-the testimony of THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, under the dispensation of grace, give a spiritual side saying what one sows, one reaps. THANKS GOD; FEAR GOD; PRAISE GOD; GLORIFY GOD; HONOR GOD; LOVE GOD AND WORSHIP GOD.

Yes. Its a time-proven way of sure change. The French killed all their aristocracy. The Germans killed all their Jews. I personally would like to see all manner of persons headless.....-and silent.
