Can we enjoy modern art if we try to reason what it is? Can we enjoy the words of child or chirping of birds if we reason there.
Do u think life is mathematics? Well if that is the case why there are so many poets, painters or artists. There is no logic in many things in life.
Just enjoy life dude. Life is a mystry dude jus feel it rather to unfold it. Just use ur heart sometimes rather to ur head. Think

You might get some help from the books of C. S. Lewis, he is a great Christian writer of our era, and understands lots of problems of the skeptic and uncertain people. (Especially the books Surprised by Joy and Mere Christianity are good for you.)
If you read the Bible, the nearer you are to the end of it, the more realistic it becomes. At the beginning (the Creation and Adam and Eve story) it is like any of the other myths. (Except that there is only one God, not many gods.) As you read, say the book of Judges, it is more realistic. As you read the Chronicles, it is even more. (I guess the Bible's style always followed the general style of the historic era that particular part was written in.) And when you reach the Evangeliums, they are written by reports of eyewitnesses. The Acts of Apostles were written partly the same way, partly by a participant of the events. It is a lively and realistic report. And Saint Paul's letters, they are written about realistic problems of early Christian communities, and everyday life of those people.
So Christianity is about real persons and real events, not theories and myths. And so these events really happened, proven by many, the miracles, too, the resurrection of three people by Jesus's power and the resurrection of Jesus himself. In the history of Christianity also a number of other resurrections happened by the prayer of saint persons, these are reported, too, by witnesses. So these prove the truth of Christianity, I think.
And some did not resurrect, but his or her body did not decay, but remained uncorrupted after centuries. They wait for resurrection in this way. See a link about this.

These are signs of the coming world, I think. And you can find some others at www.coretlumenchristi.org
JayKay cited the Bible that "if you draw near to God, He will draw near to you". I agree with it. I suggest that do it a Christian way (it is simpler and more certain and straightforward than meditation). Just give yourself to Jesus in a prayer. And so then you will have the new agreement with God by Jesus, and have the power and signs and wisdom of the Holy Spirit like the Apostles at Pentecost.
And then you can go to a Christian community. (OK, you might do it before any commitment, too :-)... There are different types, one should search one with a really loving atmosphere.) It is the community which has the really great power. There you probably will have answers and see more clearly, I think. I have experienced that in mine (which is a Catholic Charismatic one). And I have got personal prophecies, which were really relevant. But also help from a good, very intelligent priest was needed, too.

What r u looking for, a body, a glow, a shape. What will satisfy ur mind. R u looking for some power or support and what is ur prayer. God lives within u and u ve to take a journey inside. For that start sittting for 10 minutes to begin with in a quiet corner and switch off ur mobile, telephone and T.V, Radio etc. so that u ve absolute peace. Now sit straight so that ur head, neck, and back are in line. Cross ur legs and observe from tip of ur nose as u inhale and monitor ur breath as it goes down and again comes up and so on. Many thoughts will pop up in ur mind as u sit like this, let them be, just ignore. To concentrate on observing ur breath do reverse counting and as u distract start again. This will help u in concentrating and relaxing. After ten minutes just say " thanks my breath for being with me". After a week increase ur sitting time and gradually every week to half an hour every day in the morning. Morning is important so that whatever energy u gain like this remains with u throughout the day. If u do it empty stomach, effect will be better. If u continue like this for 40 days at least u will get inner peace and calm and prepare u for ur pursuit. When u ve achieved inner peace i.e. no more thoughts when u r meditating on ur breath, that will be the point u will realize God. Ask urself why do u need God. Do u want power to do whatever u want to and succeed thereat for welfare of all or use it destructively like Ravana and other Rakshas. U must work for everybody's good only then u will be at peace and ur queries will be satisfied. Time and life both r precious make better use of ur life and time and work on these tips.

If you are looking for conclusive proof, you probably won't find it. However there is good reason to have a strong faith in Christ. Jesus died for the world for the forgiveness of sin. There is no other name under Heaven by which man can be saved. No other religion has a god dying for his people. Sometimes I don't understand His will either, but I have faith and trust that God is in control. Also too, Jesus is a real person who existed in time and I doubt there are many who would dispute that. Prophecy, the moral law and all that attest to Him, but you must still have faith in his existence, and that means believing in something that you may not necessarily be able to prove. The Bible says that if you draw near to God, He will draw near to you. That means that you must take the first step in drawing near to Him. If you pray sincerely and want to know the truth of God, I believe He will reveal it. God Bless.

No, I can't enlighten you. I CAN, however, pray for you, and I can share a bit of my own testimony, as well as give you some books to read.
I used to be just like you. For most of my life, I was NOT a believer. I spent some time as an atheist, and as an agnostic, and as a Wiccan. But when I started to feel God pulling on my heart...that all changed.
I just became a Christian eight months ago, for the first time in my life, at the age of twenty-five. But that was preceded by about nineteen years of looking for answers.
So I'll tell you where I found MY answers (and continue to find them), and I hope that they help you. You can try authors such as Lee Strobel, Ralph Muncaster, John Ashton M.D., and Josh McDowell. There are many others, as well. Those four are the main ones who helped me though. You can also try typing in "apologetics" on Amazon.com, and look through the many books they list.
I really highly recommend Lee Strobel. His books are sort of a cursory overview, but if one wants more detail, they can ALWAYS go into the books he uses as references. His book "The Case for Christ" is excellent, and he covers many of the arguments that people use against Jesus being the Messiah.
If your heart is open, and God is calling you, you WILL find Him. Mine was, He was, and I did. I have faith that everyone who is like I was will find the same thing.
I'll continue to pray for you, and if you have any questions, feel free to email me at farkas419@yahoo.com. I am highly interested in Christian apologetics, and I've actually got ideas for several books on the subject.

Dear no one in this world can prove/show god.
What is your problem with god?
Whether he or it is there or not,
but you are there.
That is enough.
I dint know why many people getting confused about god.
There is nothing to do with god to lead a happy comfortable life.
First you should know yourself.
Try to meditate 15 mts everyday morning and evening.
You will realise you are not this body, mind
You will come to know that all problems start with a arguing mind,
Ofcourse mind itself a problem.
Once You come know that you are beyond your mind,
Then all your problems, questions will be solved.
For this no prophecy/scripture will help.
Only meditation will help you.
You meditate everyday and watch your mind, its behaviour for rest of the time.
Though in the beginning, it is boring, irritating, but soon you will realise it is very interesting.
Dont search answers outside.
You will never get anything.
Everything is available within you.
Those people who are in real search will
sure get what they search.
So search for good, you will get it.
You need not to be religious to become a lovable and kind person towards this universe.
You need not look for others help to be a kind person.
with full of love is our nature, we have forgotten it or lost it.
Know thyself.

God Inhabits Eternity -
In the height of heaven (Job 22:12 below), in the third heaven (2 Cor.12:2 below) God (Isa.44:6, Isa.45:5 below) inhabits eternity (Isa.57:15 below) and dwells in Zion (Joel 3:21, Ps.23:6 below), the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem (Heb.12:22 below).
Job 22:12 [Is] not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are!
2 Cor.12:2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.
Isa.44:6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I [am] the first, and I [am] the last; and beside me [there is] no God (Isa.45:5 below).
Isa.45:5 I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me (Isa.44:6 above); I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:
Isa. 57:15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name [is] Holy; I dwell in the high and holy [place], with him also [that is] of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
Joel 3:21 For I will cleanse their blood [that] I have not cleansed: for the LORD dwelleth in Zion.
Ps.23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me (David) all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
Heb.12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion (Re.14:1), and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels.

It sounds like you're really searching for truth. If this is true I'd invite you to read the Book of Mormon and pray about it with real intent to act on the answer you get.
Read Proverbs 18:13,15 He who answereth before he heareth the whole matter, it is shame and folly unto him.
If you are really seeking truth:
James 1:5-6
5.)If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God who giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not and it shall be given him.
6.) but let him ask in faith, nothing wavering, for he that wavereth is like a wave upon the sea driven and tossed.
I know it's true for myself you can ask God and know for yourself too!
This knowledge has brought great peace to my life and I would be very happy that I helped anyone gain that same peace.
P.S. I'll pray to God the Father in the name of his Son Jesus Christ for you too.

mdell2 is contradicting his own beleifs, or lack of them as he is an athiest acknowledging the existence of God!!!
If we confess our sins, He (Jesus) is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Pray and tell Jesus you are a sinner. Ask hime to come into your heart and give Him your life. He will make Himself real to you and erase any doubts you have.
If you know God exists and you know to pray, why not pray to the God that is real? John 3:16 If you pray to the one true God who sent his only son to die for you, I can personally promise you that your confusion will end. But do not take my word for it. Read the Bible and ask God to speak to you through it!

Are you willing to do what it takes to know the truth? Quit doing what you have been doing, it's not working, do you see the truth in this? If you do practice being still for 5 min. a day, mind and body and this does take practice. Find a method of meditation [being still], do not be afraid to go outside your religious upbringing for these methods. You are on a quest to know the truth and if you persist in your quest you will find. ~ : )
