This seems like a non-question, but in the off chance you're serious, nobody would have enough money left from their paycheck to buy food, pay rent, or pay other bills. You'd essentially be able to keep 1 month of pay from 12 months of work.

If it was actually enforced, there'd be rampant poverty, business would shut down, there'd be a majority of the population unemployed, and then the government wouldn't have the revenue they had before anyway.

There's a proper balance somewhere for optimal income for individuals and government, and the complexities of exemptions, international trade, tax credits, and such will make it impossible to find that balance.

Eg. If u earn say around $100 and $95 goes on I.tax....u will be left with $5 and bcoz of sales tax 90% ...which indirectly u will have to shell out of ur pocket... the goods becomes expensive...

so. ur consumption reduces
similarly the consumption of entire economy reduces

this means that there will be lesser production in the economy..

this means lesser people in ther orgn... i.e. more of them retrenched or laid off ..

this will result in more unemployment, poverty and so on..

thus the entire economy will move towards recession & then depression..

NOW,
DO U WANT THE GREAT DEPRESSION 1929 HAPPEN AGAIN!!!!!!!!

i think u have got the answer to ur qn...

Because we've had Republicans running the country for the last decade or so.

Democrats take all your money. Republicans let the big oil companies take it.

Simple. Prices would have to rise about 1000% to compensate. Therefore the net improvement would be zero.
