If you've never shaped your brows before, you may want to go to a salon & have them waxed professionally to get the best, most flattering shape.

I second the advice to go and get them professionally done if you've never had them done before, or if it's been a while since they were done last. This way, you'll get a great shape that you only have to maintain. It's easy because you'll easily see new hairs coming through and you can pluck them out regularly and keep your shape.

You can numb your eyebrows with some ice if you like (but seriously it doesn't hurt that much, don't stress about it!) before plucking. Get your tweezers close to the ROOT of the hair (close to your skin) and gently stretch out the skin with your other hand to ensure it's taut (this makes pulling out the hair easier and less painful). QUICKLY pull the tweezer (hence the "pluck" thing) and the hair will come out quickly. If it hurts, put some pressure on where you pulled the hair from and hold it down - it might sting a little but will go away.

The important thing though is before you start, make sure you know what you are going to be plucking. You don't want to keep plucking and realise half your eyebrow is gone!

Good question. This can be a tricky thing. The best thing to do, if this is your first time, is spend the money to have them done professionally and then take a picture of them to give you an idea of how you should pluck them in the future. You'll want to go to a reputable spa or Nordstroms where they have an eyebrow specialist. This should cost you about $15-$30 for the design and if you like it, you can get follow-ups for about $5-$15. You can usually just use a tweezer for th in-between visits. If you want to try it yourself (I don't recommend this for eyebrows, but...), try Anastasia's kits which can be found at beauty sites like Sephora. Good luck!

DONT DO IT AT ALL!!!! I started plucking my eyebrows when i was really young, and its the biggest regret i have ever had. Unplucked eyebrowns looks so much nicer. Its probably an idea to get the tidied, but if i were you, id go to a salon/spa to have it done. It might cost abit in the long run but the results will be worth it.

general rule is to take a pencil (or similar) and hold vertically in front of face, eraser end at tip of nose and lead end pointing to outer edge of eye, mark that point of eyebrow, repeat for other eye. This is where the brow should end it's taper. Plucking is done hair by hair with tweezers starting at the bottom of brow and working up to form an arch. Pull hair out "against" skin, not straight out. I prefer shaving!

DON'T. go get them plucked for like 10 dollars. but if you're going to do it anyway, get a pair of tweezers first of all. basically, youre following the natural shape of your eyebrow, and you're just plucking them so that they're at a slight arch, like a rainbow. mostly, just pluck away the stray hairs around the brows.... with trial and error, you'll learn how.

I think YOU should not pluck them by yourself. Go to someone who speacialize in plucking. If you try to pluck your eyebrows, chances are that you will end up ruining your eyebrows. I am sure you don't want that. However, I highly recommend threading instead of plucking. My experience tells me threading is less hurtful.

bypass sluggish, and purely pluck from below the eyebrow. Pluck out basically one row from the backside and notice how curiously to commence, do not attempt to get to your very final eyebrow shape all of sudden or you would be able to pluck too skinny and be apologetic approximately it... additionally, for what shape the eyebrows could be, look at lots of pictures of celebrities and such on line to get an thought what professional eyebrows look like. you in all probability won't discover what looks suitable on you marvelous away, even though it facilitates in case you have an thought what looks sturdy on maximum folk! some human beings look extra perfect in very unusual eyebrows, like very skinny, no shape, with extra suitable area in between them, etc, yet commence with some thing regularly occurring on the start!

With tweezers, very carefully...lol.
Pluck the bottom hairs, never from the top.
Brush eyebrows upward and remove unwanted hairs from the bottom and center.
they sell stencils if you don't know how to shape, but I suggest you have them waxed or threaded once, then keep them up with plucking.

I don't think that you should do it yourself unless you're really good at it...
You should go to a beautician or someone professional to get it done. Then whenever you see them growing just pluck them out, but never attempt to shape it yourself, cause it might just get thinner and thinner... Eventually you don't have any brows left... >.<
That just to always happened to me before... So just go back to the beautician every 2 to 3 months to get it back in shape...

Good Luck!!
