You only want serious answers, so I will have to include a meta-discussion of your question.

I am not at all sure what you mean by "the battle for the mind." It seems that there are two distinct possibilities. You may be talking about trying to claim your own mind for yourself, which I would call avoiding being brainwashed. Or you are talking about brainwashing someone else.

A mind should not have to be a battle ground. We all ultimately live alone inside our minds, and that is as it should be. So battling for a mind might be interpreted as battling demons. Because anyone who would try to brainwash another can accurately be depicted as a demon.

I'm quite serious here. If it is to avoid being brainwashed that is your meaning, then to me, that comes under the heading of Defense Against the Dark Arts. And the best defense is to learn all you can about their methods. Learn about rhetoric, propaganda, psychological trickery of all sorts. Learn to recognize when someone is turning the conversation so that they do not have to answer an honest question, yet never confront the fact that they have not answered. Defend against that by waiting patiently while they go off, then saying, "Yes, but my original question was ..." and bring it back. Learn to recognize the unacknowledged assumption, the dialectical materialism (developed by socialist/communist propaganda and very, very tricky stuff), the slippery definitions, and all the other rhetorical deceits practiced by the masters of deceit.

It's a tough job, but someone has to do it. Knowledge is indeed power.

I don't know what you mean by win the battle, but I will try . I do know that we are the ones that control our minds-- what we comprehend from every day life and the way we feel about it. Maybe some issues could be somewhat of a battle but all of these issues have an answer and faith is an important factor. Faith can be a major answer to our everyday life. bettyk

DO NOT TRUST RELIGIONS BUT YOURSELF.

There are many ways to win this battle. You must find and choose the path... no-one can do thins instead of you.

There are three parts of our personality
INSTINCT - IDEAL - EGO

INSTINCT ... this means the ancient animal desires and needs ... it controls your natural reactions to things you encounter

IDEAL ... this means the image that motivates you to be better

EGO .. this mean the consciousness you know as your personality: the human being you are.

You always walk towards the IDEAL, but you must not harm the main rules of the INSTINCT.

Choose a path that most fits you. Do not let yourself manipulated by religions, communities, friends or even family members. This is your battle, no need for others to know about it. They will just misdirect you ... even if they do not want to harm you. It sounds horrible, but you are alone in this fight.

And in the end, you must decide for yourself the kind of life you wish to live. And the key does not lie in spirituality or religions, but in your own mind. Trust youself. Be yourself.

The greatest fact is that you can never win the battle on your own...of your own volition. You need help to do this and the only way is to use the power of the Holy Spirit which needs to be accessed initially through giving your life to Jesus Christ the 'living God'.
Once you have repented (turnned away from your sin)...thanked Jesus for giving his life to open a path for you to God....then asked Him into your heart..the journey begins to being pleasing to God and finding an inner peace you could never imagine.
Being a Christian can be very hard sometimes but the rewards are exceptional and include the real promise of Eternal life.
Try this website to find a course which is non-denominational and explains Christianity in full for you.

Drop the mind. Drop the desires. Drop the emotions. Be a witness. Stop struggles. Be calm in every situation. Allow the And what will prevail will be spirituality.
It is a battle that is won only with total surrender. Do not try to win or lose it. Just surrender and watch it. And victory will be yours!

If you mean how to develope a spiritual mind?
I think life experiences plays a big part in it.
The more you live life and have experience in death, birth, caring, giving of yourself, bad times, good times, etc. the more spiritual you become.
But you have to let your spiritual guide help you experience life, you can't do it on your own.
Maybe you would call it your intuition, gut feeling, but it is your spirit guide whether it be God or whatever you call it.
You have to feel it come into you and enter your mind and guide you.

When I began to study spirituality, I was drawn to many different books. At times I would come upon ancient wisdoms that I already knew, but had never heard before. It is strange to remember things that you didn't know that you knew. But this is a very comforting feeling, and can put the mind & spirit as ease.
Seek out your own peace of mind. ; )

With the help of the Lord... But you need to remember that there are many battles to be fought before the war can be won.. And until the day the Lord come to get us and brings us to Heaven we will constantly be battling.. Faith is the only way to have any chance of ever winning the war..

By allowing Christ to reign in your life completely. The bible says " as a man thinketh in his heart so is he" and also " God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind". It is a heart issue. We must examine our hearts. It is a spiritual thing. Getting into a good bible teaching and spirit filled church is a must in the world the way it is. It is so easy to let the bad things around us fill us with garbage. We must daily fill our minds with God's promises and praises inspite of our circumstances and how things look on the outside. Reading the bible and going to church to learn how to understand it will help ease a burdened heart. I go to an Assembly of God church. You should just pray and ask the Lord Himself to guide you to the right church , but know that sometimes He can bring you people also for direction. Pray for a discernment because there are some weird churches out there too. But God is all powerful and He desires for all to be of a sound mind , so no worrying is able to enter your mind when you know without a doubt that God is in control. God bless you!

good question!!!

this is an issue today whereby u are in a constant battle of the mind.
i think one can only win the battle of the mind by praying, fasting and constant meditation on the word of God dwelling in it day and night.
otherwise the mind ll just be a playfield for the devil and his demons to build their houses and dwell therein.
