Bran is good for good healthy bowels. Some of my most enlightening moments are while I am taking a good dump, so there is no denying it. Below is a link to a webpage with a whole 'shitload' of bran muffin recipes.

My answer is yes it can, but I beleive anything, any object can bring about enlightenment. (An understanding, or light bulb moment)

They bring about something in me, but I wouldn't call it enlightenment. In fact, it is rather dark.
