I ask God many questions but he answers me so I do not worry about that, he speaks to me through the words of the Bible from my memory. But a few times he answered my questions right away and that was kinda scary. His voice was like a thought or a dream while I was awake and driving.
The question I asked was why do we not know anything about Jesus Christ from 12 years old to 30 years old and he answered because you would separate yourself from me by every thing you knew and this was not my intention.

Just an idea, by no means to challenge His sovereignty, no one know, not even angels and God the son.

Why do care so much about whether or not people believe in you or what their orientation is etc? Shouldn't it be enough that they are just good people?
