Seriously, people have recorded a lot of various evidence for God's existence on Y! Answers, but it never makes a dent. The same atheists are still here denying that any evidence exists. Do you not read the answers at all?

Like it or not, a written testimony is admissable as evidence. Eye witness reports are evidence. Subjective experiences are evidence. You cannot assume that all recorded statements are automatically false just because they deal with the existence of God.

you make a point, but everything has to be looked at objectively.

If there was a murder case, eyewitness testimony might be good enough to bring up charges against a person, but the witness would then be scrutinized for credibility. The Bible is a reasonable place to start an investigation of the existence of G-d but becausae of its age, there is no reason to b reasonbly sure of its credibility.

What you see as evidence, we see as conjecture.
What you see as personal experience, we see as delusion.
What you accept as the gospel truth, we see as dogma.

Point is there has been no evidence shown to prove your god exists. If you accept the word of another and use their experience as truth, then would you believe that Elvis was still alive if I said he was?
Would you believe that the world was flat if 1000 people insisted that it was?
Would you believe that OJ Simpson was innocent if 2 million people said he was?

If not, then why believe what a billion people say about their god? They might have all had personal experiences with it, but that doesn't make it any more real than any of the other things I mentioned.

If you were able to come up with some kind of proof that couldn't be denied in any way, shape or form then you would have something. Up until now you've got nothing.

There is no evidence for god's existence.

Show me the evidence and I will consider it, but I need empirical, physical, testable, verifiable proof that god exists.

And just because we don't know some answers about the world and the universe doesn't mean god exists and because the bible says so isn't evidence.

ETA: Yes, written testimony can be used as evidence, but only if it was witnessed by someone and verified as true. The bible has so many inconsistencies (I know you'll deny that) that it cannot possibly be held as truth or historical fact.

First, you have to define what makes up evidence. Stories from the Bible do not count as evidence, unless you have multiple scientist collaborating to prove the story. Anecdotal accounts about how "Jesus healed your mom's wart" doesn't count either. Finding a boat on a hill that may or may not be Noah's ark also doesn't count. I can tell people that God appeared in my Cheerios, but unless there was a team of scientists standing in my kitchen when it happened, it's not worth a can o'beans.
The key is scientific proof, that's verified by independent observers, and peer reviewed (published in a journal for others to study).

The truth is, there is no scientifically supported and peer reviewed evidence that God exists. If there were, I'd be a Bible-thumping convert tomorrow, but it just isn't out there.
Why does it bother you so much that we refuse to change our minds? Just live and let live...

Evidence, yes. But not credible evidence...there's a difference.

Sorry, I read the answers, but to me they are just more of the same, people spouting words that mean nothing. I could say the same for you. Those of us who do not believe in a god almighty have given evidence as to why there is no god, why Jesus was just a man and why the Bible is just a book written by men and yet you do not listen to us. It is an impass that will never be bridged, give it up. I am not going to try and change your ways, why must you feel that you have to change my ways. Why can't we just learn to live together and understand that there will always be differences. Anyway, I'm not a Christian, so why bother to try to convert me to your ways, I have my own ways and I'm happy with them. That's the difference. I'm happy with being me. You must not be a happy person if you feel the need to make everyone into your likeness.

"Why do you reject attainable that Amaterasu the ideally suited deity in jap Michi no Kami exists? You categorically and with anger reject even attainable that Amaterasu exists. Why?" i do no longer waste my time on issues that are unquestionably very undesirable fiction. I examine the Bible daily whilst i became a toddler, so i'm able to for sure see that the Bible proves conclusively that the God in it could no longer probable exist. It has many dumb contradictions and diverse damaging blunders in technological know-how and math. a clever deity does no longer two times say pi is basically 3 or that Jesus became born in the two 10 B.C. or in A.D. 10. He'd foresee that sensible and objective human beings might word such obvious blunders and understand the authors have been pitifully ignorant. It isn't smart to have self belief that a god would desire to be so pitifully ignorant, so it incredibly is totally sparkling that ignorant primitive men, no longer a clever deity, wrote the Bible. i do no longer see every person indignant approximately rejecting any gods, except it incredibly is you and your ilk. you could angrily reject Zeus, Odin, and so on., yet i'm no longer governed by making use of thoughts. there isn't any possibility that any character in very undesirable fiction can exist, e.g. God, Edward Cullen, Harry Potter, and so on.

Your definition of "evidence" is very generous. Do you consider what's written in the Weekly World News to be convincing evidence of the existence of Bat Boy?
Here's the deal: If you are going to trot out claims as outrageous as the existence of an invisible man running the universe, then you're going to have to produce some kind of compelling empirical evidence if you want to convince anyone who has any capacity for critical thought whatsoever. 2000 year old hearsay isn't going to do it. Sorry.

Let's see...

People have claimed to see unicorns. Unicorns have been shown in ancient art and text. Unicorns have not changed; similar images have been found throughout the ages.

That is evidence. Not proof.

That is the same reason why many atheists reject the idea of god, little evidence, but no proof. Unless you want to believe in unicorns.

If you were to give some evidence not based on the Bible, They might listen.
If you were able to tell them some specific thing your God has done without reference to a Bible. They might listen.
Prove that your God is the only God without reference to a Bible. They might listen--but probably not because the other Gods are just as ephemeral when it comes to hard evidence.
If you were to give answers that were based on verifiable facts and not faith or the Bible. They might listen.

I am a Pagan and believe in many Gods, but even I have some doubts about the Christian version of a so-called God without a name.

Im agnostic..

And I love seeing athiests and christians constantly attack each other with evidence that cant be proven...

there is evidence, yes... ill give both sides this...

but the point is that god does not have to reveal himself, or prove anything, it is all about faith, or lack thereof...
it can be proven that there is evidence for both sides for the existence or nonexistence of a god...

the thing that christians lack over athiests, and all religions of the matter, is tolerance... they cant take it that some people do not have faith in their god, or believe in another... they just wont have it... that is why I despise holy rollers...
