This is my skin routine:

Morning: Neutrogena oil-free cleanser, Aveeno lotion if my skin is dry

Night: Neutrogena oil-free cleanser, Tazorac cream every other night (I only use a pea-sized amount)

During the day if my skin is oily, I use Oxy face wipes.

I only wear foundation every once in a while. Its not a part of my everyday routine.

Is there anything I can do to make my skin better?

The combination of products may be too much for your skin. Consider using blotting clothes instead of Oxy face wipes during the day.

Also, you might want to consider using the Neutrogena cleanser in the morning only. In the evening, you might want to use a milder cleanser before applying the Tazorac cream. (e.g. Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Cleansing Pads, Eucerin face wash for sensitive skin - white bottle, pink label, says it's moisturizing but it's not.)

Neutrogena has great products but, I think the combination of the oil-free cleanser and Oxy pads and the Tazorac cream are drying out your skin. From what I can tell you are using the Oil Free Acne wash.

You should try using Clean & Clear products they have some great stuff for all skin types.

They have great cleansers for all skin types. I use the Foaming Facial cleanser for sensitive skin. I use it day and night.

During the day if my skin feels oily I use the Clean & Clear absorbing sheets. It's sort of like the Oxy wipes but the Oxy wipes are harsh for the skin. You just need to remove excess oil not strip the skin.

You should be using moisturizers daily that has at least an SPF of 15. I like the Clean & Clear Morning glow.

You should also use a good scrub for you skin type once a week to get rid of dea skin cells. That helps your skin from looking dull. Also using a facial mask every two weeks helps to deep cleanse your skin and helps un-clogg pores.

I put the links of the products I use.

Good luck!

I've had problem skin growing up. It sucked because no matter the brand of cleansers and washes I bought at the store, they NEVER helped (Neutrogena, Clearasil, Clean and Clear, Proactiv and even higher end stuff that cost $30-$75). I used to have red spots all over my face that were from previous pimples and even when my skin was clear my skin still looked like crap and it looked like I still had acne. Until I found Alpha Hydrox on drugstore.com! I swear by this regimen! I can guarantee you'll see results with these products and they're all on drugstore.com. Wash only ONCE a day at NIGHT and within a week you'll see change. I felt so helpless with my skin until these products.

Alpha Hydrox Nourishing Cleanser (this will shrink your pores in a week and blackheads are less noticeable), Biore's Triple Action Astringent (I love this stuff. It's the only toner that's ever helped my skin), Alpha Hydrox Fade Cream (this will make your skin really red for a little bit after applying it, but it will go away. It might even sting/burn slightly for a couple minutes as well but that will go away within a few days and it's totally normal), and end it with an oil-free moisterizer WITH SPF and Alpha Hydrox has some that's good and so does Biore. The active ingredient in the Fade Cream makes your skin sensitive to sunlight so you have to use a moisturizer that has SPF or your face will go red when you go outside. The Fade Cream is $11 but lasts for at least 2 months. I know this is long but I know how you feel and I really think you'd benefit from this stuff. Good luck! I've read that using too many product on your skin could irritate it and thus as you said it "act up" on you. I would sugest not using the Neutrogena oil-free cleanser at night. It must be because of the season. Your skin overproduces oil because of the heat.
