WEll i just finished high school last year and have been having 11 hours sleep average, but then a had nights out, a 12 hours job shift and going for a license two days and i got 4, 4, 4 1/2 hours in a row, and i wasn't tired that last day. Maybe i needed more short sleeps for it to take effect but i was astounded because im eighteen and i always heard that young people need more than old. So i'd say 5 but you might be tired.

depends on you personally...it could be plenty enough. Some people (although I don't know how credible) like Donald Trump claim to only sleep between 3-4 hours every night and function well. For myself 6 is usually fine to funtion well sometimes less. Plus, if you can function well than it usually means it is a healthy amount of sleep. But most people can go without sleep for long periods of time, but they usually don't function as well and it starts to affect health (first aesthetically and then progresses) after a time.

You really should get at least 8 hours of sleep a night, although I admit that I rarely do this due to my busy schedule. Don't cut it shorter than 6 hours regularly, or it will affect your health in the long run. Your body repairs itself during sleep at night, and a lack of sleep will catch up to you as you age. I have family members who are living proof of this.

Most doctors would agree 7-8 hours is ideal. Less than 6 can lead to health problems such as stress, high blood pressure, migraines, and other problems. However a study was done that showed people who slept more than 9 hours on average died earlier than people who slept from 6-8 hours.

Everyone's body is different as far as how much sleep they need. I know people who need very little and those who need 8-10 hours a night. If you feel you are functioning at your best and don't feel like napping during the day, then you are probably getting enough sleep. The number of hours you need changes throughout your life; so be tuned in to your body.

You actually shouldn't sleep for long hours. It makes you more fatigue.
6 to 8 hours is the recommended amount for sleep.
I mean, do you feel okay just off of 6 hours of sleep? Are you energized for your daily tasks?
If not, try going to be a little earlier and see what happens.

Six isn't bad but seven is ideal. It depends what you do during the day also, I find. If you worked a long hard work shift, its best to get at least 7 hours of sleep.

We are all different. I usually awaken after about 6 hours of sleeping and feel alert and can get a good day in ,so I think
in my case 6 hours is enough. I guess it depends on how you
feel.
