If God is all loving and all knowing then explain why he would create Adam and Eve just to have them doom the rest of us. And why , if he's omnipotent, would he let the world suffer like he does? Huge contradiction there. I have an answer but I would like to see other opinions first.

Where do you come up with this word "omnibenevolence"?
God is all just. He will render to every man according to his works.
He will repay the evil with evil.
He will have mercy on those He wishes to show mercy to, but ONLY because Jesus Christ has already paid the debt of transgressed law through His substitutionary death on the cross.
Please stop trying to build your own God.
No one is really smart enough to do that.

Part of the problem here is that people assume that God is 1000% all-knowing, to the point where he is automatically aware of every specific detail in time. This theory dictates that he knows every event that will ever happen in time.

This belief is contradictory with what is said in the Bible. He created Adam and Eve with free will and gave them two choices: Obedience with everlasting life in view, or disobedience with death in view. They chose the latter. Even now we have the choice to choose right or wrong on a daily basis. Sometimes people suffer because of a combination of factors that can be traced to our sinful condition, but still we have the opportunity to choose to serve God and live forever.

God created man and gave us CHOICE. When Adam and Eve were placed in the garden they had the choice to eat of the tree of knowledge.

All God wanted was a creation that could love him in return and the only way to do this was to give it free choice. God gave them the choice Himself or themselves. Knowing what was going to happen all God could do was warn them if he were to intervene he would have destroyed our choice and made it impossible for us to love him. Love is a choice. It is the choice to lay your life down for another where your life takes a back seat and they become your focus.

You may think that the entire world suffers but... For us (Christians) we can take joy in every situation even when there are people persecuting you and when things dont go as planned, when you lose your job and have no source of income we can always find joy in the Lord because the creator of the universe know our names and he loves us enough to send his only son to come and suffer all the punishment we should have to suffer for every sin we ever have committed and every one we will commit. knowing that our God reigns no matter what overcomes any sorrow and any fear.

George Carlin asked your question in a much more succinct manner many years ago: Hey, fadda, if God is so great can he himself make a boulder so big that even he can't lift it? Real funny huh? The question reveals an elementary misunderstanding of who and what God is. First of all, God is not Santa, or some benevolent vapor that grants wishes or makes our little hurts and "owies" go away. God is the creator and his love is unconditional to all of us. It is up to us to find our way to God. This is the true path. Life is pain and suffering and we are tasked to do whatever we are capable of doing to try and alleviate that pain in others to the extent that we are able. This is the example Jesus gave to us all.

In philosophical terms, you've come across the problem of evil. Basically put, evil occurs, and god must know about it because he is all-knowing. Being omnibenevolent, he loves the human race, but still does nothing to prevent or cure it even though he is all-powerful, so therefore, the 3 omni's contradict the possibility of existence of the Christian god.

Great subject to read up on, if you ever get interested in philosophy.

God is one thing ---above all else ; mysterious. It's the contradictions that lead one to question the source. That's why we need to pray earnestly. One sooner, or later, realizes that those seemingly endless contradictions cannot be reconciled by the power of our intellect. Only by beseeching God can we know ( in our hearts) what the mind cannot comprehend.

God's plan of love and salvation was made before the creation of the universe. And he had a plan that allowed him to show how much he loved the entire world that he was willing to die for all law breakers. And take the penalty of eternal damnation and punishment for all man kind. He did it himself. He took his own sentence and served it. So that all men could be free to live eternally with God. And be righteous and holy once again in God's precence. Love writes the senario of losing the one he loves and then finding him again. And to live happilly ever after with him with him in his kingdom.

Of course for those that reject God and his love they will exist outside his kingdon throughout eternity.

It's because God is non-existant and Adam and Eve is a make believe story. Non-existant things can't exactly fix the suffering of the world, after all.

How about the fact that God created them, knowing that they would sin, so that He could show His love for us by becoming a man, Jesus Christ, to live a perfect life and die on the cross for all of us out of His great love for us.

God doesn't condone suffering, but uses it to bring about a greater good. For example, Jesus passion and death was the worst evil ever commited, but God used it to bring about the greatest good!! I believe that our faith is tested through trials and tribulations and that we can unite our suffering to Christ's suffering , in order to heal us of sins. God bless.

an analogy of human suffering is that perfect, beautiful diamonds are made through grinding, scraping, etc. IN the same way, humans are purified and humbled through suffering.
