With some antidpressents, you can become "imune." How you can fix this problem is to increase your dose or change your medication. Don't do either of these until you speak with a doctor.
About the problem with mom; just tell her how you are feeling and that you are concerned about your mental and emotional help. If that doesn't work, call the doctor and set up an appointment yourself.
I often have the same problems, so I know how you feel. Good luck!

Maybe your body has gotten used to the chemicals in the medicine and you need a higher dose or even a different type. If you are of age you can go to the doctor yourself and if you are not of age maybe you have a friend or a friends mom that can take you. If not treated depression can be really bad. Both my mom and my sister have depression and are on all different meds so I kinda know hat your going through but you definately need to get in and see the doctor.

This will sound really cheesy but... until you can convince your mom to take you to the doctor, write in like a journal...let out all your emotions. Or maybe you can find some REALLY good music and try to relax by listening to it.To make this answer even more cheesy you could combine the two thoughts and write songs!!!

The first thing Dr.'s do these days is prescribe, prescribe, prescribe! You are now building a tolerance to the meds which if you continue use, the dosage or drug may become larger or stronger over the years, causing dependence. Then again, I don't know HOW depressed you are, or what is causing it. I would suggest speaking to a therapist in several sessions, and not one who has the prescription booklet out ready to write one for you as soon as you walk in. Good luck, and feel healthy hun!

Be optmistic. Forget about all the unhappiness. Instead try to think of tomorrow.
Try to join community group and involve in social service. Whenever you are helping people, you will be very happy. The people will keep you company.
You can also send email to friends to pour out your problem. The more you release, you less worry you are.

I would say that it honestly might be a control and denial issue. Why, if you have been on antidepressants for the past 10 months have you been able to get them without going to a doctor??
DO NOT ADJUST YOUR DOSAGE OR MEDICATE YOURSELF WITH ADDITIONAL THINGS (vitamins, etc.)WITHOUT CONSULTING YOUR DOCTOR AND PHARMACIST!

If you are broken hearted you just need somebody else to love or a boy friend. If you are sad because you are not having fun anymore, you need to get some friends and go do some fun stuff. I am deppressed myself because of the way people treat me. but i just ignore it. I am also broken hearted and still am because of me not telling somebody i luv them or not asking them out, and being put on pressure because if i told them that i loved her that maybe she wouldnt luc me back. Its hard. i know. but its life. everybody has a time in there life, especcially when u r a teenager, when he/she are deppressed.
i hope this helps.
your welcome

Well, you might be filling your life with all sorts of other things, but God. He's the only thing that can satisfy your emptiness! Try to talk to a Pastor or a friend who reads their Bible on a daily basis and ask them to talk with you about what you are going through.

Your mom shouldn't tell you can't go and talk to anyone. Try talking to your school counselor about your problem. And you SHOULD go to the doctor, you probably need to update your prescription to better fit your needs.
