Here's the question of the hour.... (again.)
Please take notice of the "if" qualification - if you believe, then you are suddenly qualified to make-up your own (BS) answer. As if, by saying you believe, you'll be magically granted a special ability which allows you to see into "god's" brain and understand "his" motivation...
LOL Yeah, right. How silly is that?
There is no god-creator, folks. It's only a game you're playing in your mind.

From first glance the Universe just looks so orderly. The earth is such and such a distance from the sun that it's perfect for life thereon. The earth has a magnetic field that actually protects us from the sun's harmful explosions on its surface. I can't see how there could not be some intelligence behind it all. Also, I don't have to just go on my own opinion, I have the words of the Lord. I have the Bible and other scriptures to lead me into all truth. Of course I prayed first to know for myself if I could trust that the Bible really contains the words of that Intelligent Being who created this Universe. I've felt impressed in my heart that it is truly His word. It makes so much sense to me. The fruits of my faith are great blessings in my life. I know it's true because it has changed me and my life for the better.
The Universe contains the fingerprints of God all over it.

In the concept of creator is implied a creation. In the concept of creation is implied in the concept of creator. Each implies the other. If there is no creation at any point in time, there is no creator; one cannot logically exist without the other.

to give us something to do of course! and he had to make the stars and the sun and stuff so we could have light. without the infinite universe, what else would we have to look at at night and dream about and look through telescopes at? we wouldnt have comets or meteor showers or anything to amaze ourselves with.
