I recently had my ears pierced 3 days ago. They gave me the ear care antiseptic and told me to clean the area 3 times a day. But now my piercings hurt. I clean them three times ago, I tend to drench them with antiseptic because I can't tell if I got the solution in. My ears aren't red, swollen, or expelling puss, they just hurt when I touch them. Is it possible that I cleaned them too much? What should I do? Will it go away?

Just continue to clean them with the antiseptic. Use a Q-Tip to swab both sides of the hole (front and back) 3 times a day. No need to use a lot, just a good amount. Trust me, the antiseptic solution gets in. No, your ears don't hurt because you "cleaned them too much". They're just a little tender because they're not used to being punctured like that. Don't worry... I got my ears double pierced for my birthday 2 years ago and the 2nd holes still hurt a little bit when I put earrings in after a while of not wearing any. If your ears don't look infected, they're fine.

you might want to use something less harsh on new piercings - try something like salt water (dissolve salt in warm water...) which will be mor gentle on them. also clean less - maybe twice a day, and touch them as little as possible - don't play with them. they're new and will take time to heal

I have 6 piercings. It is normal for them to hurt. You put a hole in your body. Stop touching them.
