I notice some idiot is going along giving thumbs down to everyone who says it is a beautiful dress, they obviously have bad taste as I think it is beautiful, I like something a bit different and it's nice to see some colour and pattern incorporated, times have changed and it's good to see styles and fashions that reflect the more modern bride.

Let's talk about dresses:
Since we don't have a picture of you in it, just remember that dresses fit differently to different body types.
That one is designed to dig your hips and give you extra curves. It also attracts attention to the upper-body and the face. It's perfect to show grace and elegance. It also looks very light, that will be very welcomed on the big day.
It fits all body-types save one : wide shoulders. It will give a "sandglass" feeling and more or less deform your natural shape, instead of increasing it.
It fits all faces save for elongated : it contrasts too much with the dress and will give the same feel as the last one : except if you pull your hair up in a loose coif. It will round up your form and put less accent on your chin, cancelling the deforming effect.

Nicky honey the dress is gorgeous.... 6 months wow... so much to do so little time to do it.... but one thing is for sure.... you will look amazing... is soon to be gonna be in black or white... i think the black with white shirt will really make the dress stand out even more... but it is your day so have fun dear... I love those dresses. I love them because they add the pop of color that I want and the design gives it a hint of the classic wedding gown. I am 50/50 traditional and crazy rocker artist chick when it comes to my wedding so a gown like that was perfect for me.
I tried it on and didn't work as well as some others for my body type or hide my scars from when I was sick so I had to keep looking. :( Wear it for me and send pics so I can live vicarously haha.

The thing is, do YOU like it? Do you LOVE it? This will be YOUR day, so get what you like, not what you think others will like.
You'll want to be comfortable, so remember that, too.
Will this be a morning or evening wedding, or afternoon? I think this dress would be perfect for an outdoor afternoon wedding.
And yes, I LOVE it!

ADDED: I just realized your wedding will be in December. Where do you live? This doesn't look like it's made of winter fabric, but you're the one who has to be comfortable in it.

Ew, did you catch the latest What not to wear special for weddings??? Try to find what shape is best for you, they have a book too, you can apply to wedding shape dress -
if you have broad shoulders, this is not the dress for you
if you are little, it will throw your whole shape out of whack

Very nice. A little ornate, but that's okay. You and your groom to be are the ones that have to like it.
Make sure you pick a nice garter for him to throw to his single buddies.

Its gorgeous!!! And the detailing would look great in other colours as well.... like dark red or dark purple or forest green. I love the dress :o)
