I really like this guy. We have known each other for 2 years. We have been split up because we are on different teams at our school. But he always looks at me and smiles at me.. I know he liked me alot last year. Since he is always smiling and looking at me, do you think he likes me?

well, I try and talk to him, but he gives me one word answers. I dunno if he's shy. But when I talk to him he smiles. But only gives me one word answers

Sounds like he likes you, but is shy.
Why not ask him out for lunch/dinner? There are only 2 "one word" responses he would give you and both would help solve your question.

Smiling and looking at you doesn't mean he likes you in the sense that he wants to be in a relationship with you. Maybe he's just cordial or maybe he's having a flashback of a time he shared with you. Stop being confused and know that if he wants you, he will make it known to you.

I say yes.
You should invite him to have lunch with you sometime. Then you two can discuss the possibility of getting to know each other on a more personal level. Maybe spend some time with each other outside of school.
Sounds like you two are definitely interested in each other.
The longer you wait, the more time you waste. Step up to the plate and swing, batter batter swing!

I think he likes you and he is very shy.
If he only gives one word answers... ask him if he wanna go to a movie with you friday or saturday night (I assume you both can go out to a movie at night? Or in the afternoon maybe?), or eat an ice cream...
Something you can do with him and not with a lot of people around.
Movie seems the best idea for me.
Maybe he answers "yes".
Then you say: "We'll meet at ... o'clock in ... " And that's it!

Don't try to make something out of a smile. that's just being friendly. If he wanted you for a girlfriend, he would talk more and get more personal. He sounds like he just wants to be friends.

If he gives you short answers, he can't be shy. Why? You've known him for 2 years AND go to the same school. If you really want to know, pay attention to his reactions when you talk to him, see if he notices your moves, if he doesn't, I don't think he's interested. Good luck sweetie :)

Looking at you and smiling at you are just a few of the ways that a guy will let you know that he is interested in you. Why don't you initiate a conversation with him at lunch if you are interested in finding out?

Yes I would say that there are some fillings there you need to g and talk to him and ask if he wants to hang out? Being scared t is OK to but you don't want to miss out in things in life. Don't hold yous self back he could be the one. Life these day are hard to determine what will happen so you have to live life to the fullest

No guarantee that he likes you likes you --- maybe he just wants to be friends! Try the friend thing first and see where it goes from there. Plus it takes a lot of the pressure and games off your shoulders! Be his friend now and play hard to get with a relationship and if he really likes you, he'll make it obvious.
