Professing Christians.
Observe Saturday Sabbath.
Very legalistic system of faith.
They're quite often vegans.
They incorporate the teachings of Ellen G. White (19th Century) into the inspired Word of God. White's teachings are generally plagiarized from other writers and authors, but deemed as inspired by Adventists.

The basis of their teachings come from a Reverend William Miller (The Millerites) who predicted the end of the world at least twice (1843 & 1844). Both dates came and went, and he disappeared into history's oblivion of the disgraced. White and her followers, however, continued to promote the obviously false prophecies and proclaim them to be miscalculations and/or spiritually fulfilled.

Most Christians consider the Adventist Church to be a cult, or very near to it. Either way, Adventism is considered to be a "fringe" element of Christianity.

Two words, Seventh Day and Adventist. Seventh day means that they keep the Sabbath holy as was done by the Hebrews in Israel as instructed by God from Mount Sinai when He gave Israel (Righteous of God). They believe to keep the Ten Commandments but not the ceremonial laws regarding the sacrifices and Festivals but they do learn from it.

Adventist means a focus on the Second coming of Jesus. They have a very good knowledge of the Book of Revelation and embrace a lot of truth. The Church today can learn a few things regarding the end times from them.

Some of their preachers have predicted the coming of Christ, (just like others in the Church have also missed it), and missed it because we cannot predict the Second Coming, you must always be ready.

I have one down the road and have attended a few times. They hold similarities to Jehovahs witnessess as they offshoot each other but show signs of following Jesus rather than just Jehovah. They are hell bent on Sunday worship being an abomination, they can't shut up about the sabbath being on Saturday, thats all you hear, sabbath this sabbath that, they hate catholics because catholics go to church on sunday, they think the pope is the anti-christ, they believe that only 7th day adventists are going to heaven while the rest of us burn up, they think the earth is only 6000 years old, they think that they are the one true religion, they are very healthy eaters, they have a similar interpretation of the book of Daniel and revelation as other fundamentalists do, however they aren't really classed as a cult as such

Edit: I forgot to mention, they are a doomsday religion and have many times had people high up predict the end of the world similar to Jehovahs Witnessess, they also own "Sanitarium" and make weet-bix, so you know anything sanitarium makes will be healthy

Some consider them a cult due to their putting so much emphasis on their founder, Ellen White. They have some out there beliefs on the judgment. They believe that the Catholic church changed the Saturday Sabbath to Sunday in violation of the ten commandments. They believe they are the true church and everyone else will see this someday and we will all flock to their church. My opinion differs quite a bit; Saturday is the Sabbath, but we Christians worship on Sunday(if we want). We are not under the law(ten commandments) since Christs atonement for us. By believing the good news we are new creatures and do not need law to live a holy life. Much more to say, but goodnight.

They're nice people. I worked in a seventh day adventist town. I know their sabbath (day of rest) is on Saturday not Sunday like others. They also don't eat meat. If a man walked around with their shirt off in the town (Loma Linda, Ca.) you were cited by the law and had to put your shirt on . It was called indecent exposure.

A Seventh-Day Adventist believes that Saturday is the Sabbath, not Sunday. Otherwise their beliefs do not differ much from traditional religions.

Seven day Advent ism originated in the movement of William miller, who thought the world was going to end in 1843.

7DAs are not mormons. They hold sabbath on Saturday, and have strict dietary rules: no stimulants (alcohol, caffeine, etc.), no meat.

The founding person was Ellen G. White. You can google her.

Apparently, they only wear red shoes, they dislike almost all music, except for John Denver music, they can only ear casseroles, and they all have 6 fingers on their right hands.
At least, that's what I heard.
