BEST Saltwater
1. Grilled Mahi W/Mango Chutney
2. Fresh Fried Grouper
3. Blackend Redfish
4. Mangrove Snapper Au Gratin

BEST Freshwater
1. Fresh "grill-planked" Salmon w/Dill
2. Fried Walleye
3. Fresh Brook Trout braised in white wine/onion/lemon/roasted garlic/thyme/rosemary
4. Fresh fried Crappie (beer batter)

THE WORST
Saltwater
1. Shark (I have had some TERRIBLE shark and some really GOOD shark. When preparing shark you have to "process/fillet" them quickly or toxins ruin the flavor.)
2. "Non-Bled" Bluefish (My buddy once fed me some Bluefish he didn't immed. bleed. It tasted like catfood!)
3. "Non-Bled" Spanish Mackral (My buddy once fed me some Spanish he "forgot" to bleed. He ain't my buddy no more! (lol))

Freshwater
1. Lutifisk (I don't really KNOW what type of fish it was, but I think they also use this stuff to paint with! lol)
2. "Muddy Catfish"( Freshwater fish tend to taste like what they were swimming in. Here's some advise: DON'T eat catfish you caught out of a FLA retention pond! lol)
3. Eelpout ( For some reason, the Eelpout I've had in MN tastes terrible compared to the "Mudfish & Grits" I once had with an indian friend from the 'Glades. It was VERY "fishy"!)

I like most all fish, if it is fresh, fried/grilled/smoked, and not raw!

The best is whatever I and my sons and grand-kids catch. We are now on the Gulf of Mexico, so flounder, croakers, etc. Redfish are okay, and so are speckled trout.
When we were in Colorado, trout were the best, because most were wild, but now they have made a lot of the good areas catch and release.
Worst fish are those from a stocked pond, or anything over a day or too old that smells "fishy".

Grilled Wahoo from the Gulf of Mexico is my favorite. Sand shark is terrible. Black tip shark is good and taste nothing like sand shark.

Well I have just started eating diffrent types of fish and I find that so far YellowFin Tuna is the worst and the best would have to be Red Breasted Sunfish. Blue Crab is great as well.

Halibut is good, but I prefer wahoo. Fresh albacore is good, too.

As for worst, blue shark. The consistency of dried-out jello, the taste of battery acid.

Freshwater fish = a toss up ~ Walleye and Crappie
Saltwater = Halibut
WORST = CARP!!X%*#@!! However I've heard by some that the best way ta' cook one is ta' BBQ it, ya' eat the BBQ and toss the CARP ; ). NO offense intended to all Carp fisherman because I know for a fact those fisheee's can put up one hell'uva fight!!!!
