Why being so mean!
I have seen answers that leaves me speechless.
Just because you do not agree with other religions you don't have to talk about them as if they were evil or something. It isn't right to judge people and desire if someone is going to hell or heaven, God is the only one that can judge each one of us. Remember that the Bible says that he will judge us the way we judge.
I have seen very mean things about Mormons (I'm mormon) and people say things about Mormonism as if we were evil or something. Do mormons harm anyone? I also want to speak for the other religions that I have seen attacked here. It's not only about Mormonism, it is for all religions.
Aren't we all supposed to follow Jesus' example and love and respect each other?
I know without a doubt that my church is true, but I also believe that we all (believers from all religion) search for the same God in a different way but they all do. So why fighting? By searching for God aren't we supposed to b peace

Yeah. It's funny how "Christians" always FAIL to see the irony in that kind of behavior.

I am christian, and atheist say things about my religion all the time, the evolutionist try to bash my creationist beliefs to and wiccans, oh my gosh, they write me all the time, trying to get me to tell me I was never a true wiccan, that I don't know anything about witchcraft, but you don't see me complaining do you???
I just think that when I was a mormon I was very decieved and I am tired of the mormons missionaries who will not take "NO" for an answer and continue to knock on my door.
Its not a matter of bashing the church, its a matter of what I went thru was pretty bad and some people should hear it, I am sure, and I am sure that other peoples experience with the church is a pleasant one, SO IF YOUR CHURCH IS THE TRUE CHURCH THEN THE BAD ONES IN THE CHURCH SHOULD NOT HURT YOUR CHURCH, right???

This is the basic tenant of America: the freedom to discuss or even disparage each other simply because of religion. The good news is that we don't take to killing each other (at least for over a century) about disputes in doctrine.
As for 'bashing', you get two types: those who attack persons and those who attack dogma. Sometimes the two are inseparable, and mormons seem overly irritated by "dialog" - something that is discouraged in your church and apparently a new concept to you, too..
Not all of us are christians either. Your post reveals a traditional mormon naivety about the world and how it's supposed to be.

There should be no fighting . I am Presbyterian (PCA) and I believe in one True and Holy God and I believe in the holy trinity.
I believe that Christ died and suffered on the cross for my sins and the sins of everyone else. I believe that he died and was buried and on the 3rd day he arose and ascended into Heaven to sit at the right had of God the Father Almighty. As long as this is what you believe (As long as you are saved). Then I have no problem with what denomination you or anyone else is. This is nothing to fight over. The Bible teaches peacefulness. This is how God's People should conduct themselves.

I agree with you. Christians shouldn't fight with other christians... I actually believe there are some christians in the mormon church and I even believe there are actually some christians in the evangelical christian church... everyone is at different places in their understanding of Him, we all come from different backgrounds, different abilities and have different convictions. Just like bunches of little kids learning and growing and changing... all in their individual ways and times. We should recognize that everyone is still like that!! We should just love eachother where eachother is. That's what G-d does for us and we should be understanding, merciful, loving and non-judgemental toward others as well. If someone thinks they know it all, then they should be the most merciful. If they are truly learned, they would then realize other people may not yet know or understand what they do and allow them to be where they are without pushing and without judging. They would also realize that someday a person seemingly without as much understanding or ability may be much greater than he is someday in knowledge or in spirit. With much knowledge comes much responsibility to carry out what one knows when they relate to others. Basic knowledge of G-d involves great understanding, mercy and above all, humility.

I've asked something similar myself, and so have many others from time to time. The anonymity here does have something to do with it; another factor is that some folks have a need to be always right, and in order for that to happen someone else (or everyone else!) has to be wrong.
Then again, in YA, things -- and people -- are not always what they seem; trolls and juveniles (behavor-wise) abound. It's a free-for-all here, but I think the ones who are as combative and nasty in real life as they are in this forum are actually very few.

There not Christians the one's who disrespect other religions. Who gave them the right to judge? No one. No one has any right to judge anyone. But in these times we live in everyone tries to say that there faith is better than every other faith because that's all they've ever know. Where I live if your anything but a Christian your not a good person to most people because your not doing what everyone else is. Everyone thinks there right human nature apparently.

all religions are tools designed by men to control men. In my humble opinion, that is an evil thing. I believe that each and every one of us is a part of a larger force, you call it God, that is as good a name as any, but none of us need religion to bring us into harmony with that greater force, we are already a part of it. Until religions are done away with, there will be divisiveness on this planet, for no man can agree that his way is not better than some other man's way. I say choose your own way, listen to the quiet voice within.

the way I see it, criticizing the suggestions of the religion is intellectually honest and bonafide. Criticizing the human beings who stick to that faith isn't. as an occasion, asserting a contradiction in a spiritual text cloth is honest grievance, yet calling somebody an fool because of the fact they think that contradiction is flaming. as far as respecting the alternative point of view, i don't think of it will be afforded any further admire than a political point of view.

People are anonymous on this board. They don't realize when they disparage someone else's faith in order to defend their own faith, they are really disparaging their own.
Now, I believe we have troublemakers on this board that like to stir the pot. I sometimes look at a person's profile and t he questions and answers they have previously to get a feel of them.
My grandmother's family moved to a small community inTexas that did not have a church of their faith (Presbyterian). There were two other churches. Ministers from both came by to welcome them and one spoke disparaging of the other church. When he left my great grandmother said, "I'll
tell you one thing, we aren't going to his church."
I heard a priest tell about a family in East Texas who converted to Catholicism and what made them so interested in finding out about the Catholic faith is there was Catholic family they knew that never said anything unkind about any other faith.

I agreed with you until you said Mormons..most people have an idea what the Mormons represent..sorry..we do not buy into your theories about Joesph Smith and the whole Mormon experience in the United States..
I had the pleasure of knowing a Mormon family and they were nice at first but they turned out to be just as bad as the people you describe that are so mean to you.
This was a Mormon and he out right cheated me out of money that was due me..and when I asked him why he cheated me...He just smiled and said this was just business and his family (nine children) needed the money..Period.
He worked in a factory with nine children but he got a lot of free stuff from the Mormon Church ..under income and too many children? well, I think this man used the Mormons church to get his free food and other free benefits..a lot of "church" people use the church for all the free goodies..This is why i keep my money in my pocket for my own family..
