I love the following verse and the implications that may stem from an accurate (or inquisitive) interpretation of it.
Gen. 3:21 - The LORD God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife, and clothed them.
"Garments of skin"!!! Most people think of this as an animal-type loin clothe made from some poor bear that just happened to be wondering by at the wrong time. What if these "garments of skin" were actually skin? What if we were something other than human before this?
The story of Genesis is just like any other religious groups creation myth. Just because a person is "Christian" doesn't mean they have to believe everything the bible says (though most of the ones with more mouth than brain tend to be the ones doing all the talking). Can the bible not be taken seriously and NOT literally all at the same time.
The writer of Genesis was just trying to do what all other peoples had tried to do before; make sense of what was around them and try to get it written down before all the oraters died and left the stories with air they breathed them with; empty, used and wanting.

Sure. The Genesis account says God fashioned the body of man from inorganic matter (the dust of the earth). It doesn't describe the process by which God did this, or how long it took, so an evolutionary process could easily have been involved. Cave men could very well represent one step in this gradual process. Then Scripture tells us that once the body of man had been fully formed, by whatever process God used, God made it human by breathing into it spiritual life, an immortal soul and moral capacity. At that moment man was created in God's image and likeness. So, man could not have come into existence by biological evolution alone, since man is not merely a biological being. Man is a combination of a biological nature with a spiritual nature, and man's spiritual nature could not have come about through any biological process.

Not all Christians believe that the creation story in Genesis is literally true, let alone that the world was created only 6000 years ago. Many / most of us accept an ancient world with a history of evolution, perhaps nudged along by God as needed.

Watch out for misleading answers about this from some of the cavemen on Yahoo! answers. You can usually spot them by the fact that they don't use capital letters of punctuation, and spell 'caveman' as "cavenman" and 'evolutionists' as "evoluntionsits".

The caveman is also Adam's father and son. The caveman testifies to evolution and of a mortal being. The image and likeness of God in Genesis testifies to God and His idea, Christ. The two "kinds" of creation never mix.

Adam and Eve or science and cavemen, which was created first? Who lived during those times to say what is right and what is wrong? The beauty of it is that we have the choice to make up our own minds and that's awesome!!!

Nodites.
After Cain slew Abel he fled to the land of Nod and took himself a wife. This was a civilization already in progress at the time.

This question does not make sense. Men have lived in caves, at times and used caves for various things since he was created. Jesus was born in a cave. ( Caves were used as stables too)
Man did not need to have "evolved" from a monkey to use something so perfect for his needs as a cave. THINK ABOUT THE QUESTION FIRST!

As long as they were human there is no need for any explanation. How and where people expanded to live on the entire globe is neither here nor there.
