Show love, it is also a great way to show friendship, and share good feelings. Is that enough of a reason?

A hug is form of physical intimacy that generally involves closing or holding the arms around another person. The hug is probably the most common human sign of love and affection.[1] A hug is also exchanged as a sign of support and comfort. A hug is the exchange of warmth, usually arising out of joy or happiness at meeting someone. It is practiced in almost all nations, countries, religions and sects. Children hug their parents at bedtime. Many people hug on holidays, such as Mother's Day, or Christmas.
Its roots can be traced to many thousands of years ago. Brief in most cases, it be pursued to show many levels of affection. It is not peculiar to human beings alone as there are many species of animals, which engage in a similar exchange of warmth.

Well it all depends when I hug my best friend who is a girl I hug her because its a better way of saying hi or goodbye or thanks
When its the girl I love I hug her because it makes me feel good inside

What other way is there to show that; you care, affection, hello, goodbye, things will get better, you are loved.
If you find it difficult to let others into your personal space, you were not brought up with hugs, or only let family get close to you.
Now, if this is a matter of jealousy, that's another topic.

lol chicks usually hug me cuz im hot like that......just fidn the guy you want to hug and then say hey you want a hug ? and usually thell be like sure cuz it kinda makes them look supurior for a little bit . the only time i hug someone with out them asking me is if there going out with me or somthing real sad is going on in there life and they told me about it ....jsut to make them feel better

it depends on the hug.. light hugs for friends.. but if someone hugs you and holds you close.. than you are a REALLY good friend.. or he really cares about you

I have many reasons, ranging from the sweet, to the...not so sweet. It can be anything from feeling the warmth of another person, showing affection, getting some wanted attention, all the way to "lol, boobs on my chest!"

in my school theres this girl who hugs me all the time,..i just dont want to make her feel bad, if i dont...its like caring...and because its nice to hug them
