Why are people so concerned about global warming?

After all, dawinism states 'survival of the fittest'. Looks around the american nation... well, at least the 'blubber' will help them float. Perhaps thats why an American spokesman is running around the world informing people of global warming... because he fears being /Left Behind/. After all, if you believe in god, you must believe that man can't do anything to override god's power and thus this is the second comming of the flood... to wash away the unbelievers... those... scientologists. Everyone knows the only real science is Astrology. And why SHOULD we care about earth... we have 8 other planets to inhabit, it'd be wonderful to see some Venitian women, or we could be martians... I wanna be a martian :D. I could go to Mars University and drop out just like Fry. Ooh, and we could solve global warming in the same way... by having a 'nuclear winter'. So we should drop the big one, just like in Randy Newman's "Political Science". And it was both politics and science that caused GW.

Because world sea levels are on the rise. New York and Miami are already being evacuated from the encroaching sea. That's why I moved to Vegas.

The very People that claim to be so concerned about Global Warming really aren't. In Fact, they're total Hypocrites ! Here's why. During the Clinton Administration, the EPA-OBD II Law was Passed. This Law dictates that all Gasoline powered Vehicles in the USA must run at 14.7 Parts of Air to 1 Part of Fuel. Any change whatsoever, even if Fuel Economy is improved, and Emissions are lowered, will result in a failed Vehicle Inspection. If a Vehicle's Exhaust Oxygen Sensor doesn't detect a "proper" Emissions Level, a Failure Code will be generated. Exemptions are granted for Natural Gas, Propane, and Hydrogen powered Vehicles that are Registered as Operating on Alternative Energy. No such Exemption is allowed for any Gasoline Powered Vehicle, 11 Years old, or newer. Gasoline can be Vaporized to 100 Parts of Air to 1 Part of Fuel. This has the Potential to enable even the largest SUV to get 50 + MPG, and emit 10 times less Emissions. Go to http://energy21.freeservers.com/bookrep.html and read through all of it. An increase of 1 degree F has been recorded in the past 19th century. There are signs everywhere. For example Mt. St. Helens' top, used to be completely frozen. You have an aerial view of it now and all you will see is water. Another example, one of the thousands of islands of the beautiful Bahamas is now completely underwater from the melting of the ice at our poles. Global Warming is also killing our coral reefs. Dying reefs will alter our food chains therefore messing up the order of the food chain. Believe it or not this will kill most of the life in the sea. This will not only affect the beautiful sites the earth has to offer, but humans as well. Dangerous heatwaves will kill millions of people in the world. Many of the crops that we depend on will die due to a drastic decrease in rain fall. Melting of the earth's poles is another factor of global warming which is deadly to humans because it will flood coastal areas which means major cities like NewYork City, Miami, New Orleans will be completely flooded due to premanent coastal flooding. If that is not enough evidence that global warming is happening, search global warming in google images and there is much more. You will see a whole bunch of depressing sites.

Don't believe the trash that some politicians are talking about saying it isn't happening. The only reason they say that is becuase if they don't they will loose profit on gasoline sales and won't make as much money using alternative resources that are non-polluting.

Some ways to stop global warming is to conserve energy such as turning off a TV or a computer when not using them. This will also help you saving you money. You can also recycle products such as milk comtainers or cardboard boxes. Buying flourescent light bulbs also helps a lot. Buying recycled products such as recycled toilet paper, or recycled paper towels which are just as good and even cheaper.

Back to answering your question I believe for the sake of your children, grandchildren, and so on you will care for the earth as i have to you so. By the year 2030 times will be harsh and catastrophic. We have to clean up the mess we created.

Please save your only home. It is the only thing we have. =]

Ah, there is plenty of iron in your irony. Might I just add that the consequences of what we do now will play out in hundreds of years from now, and we'll all be dead and beyond caring about it all anyway.
