There is nothing wrong with questioning religion or God. That is what determines the difference between truth and error. If more people carefully examined the claims of religions, we'd have a lot fewer of them, for many have no foundation for their claims.
People who have researched the Bible for accuracy are astonished at the proofs of both history and archaeology which verify the claims of the Bible. Granted, some things need to be taken on faith, but if the Bible, written over a period of 3,000 years by many different authors provides overwhelming proof as to the accuracy of what can be verified, is it a great leap to take in faith that which cannot be proven yet?
As the apostle Paul also said;
I Thessalonians 5:21
21 Test all things; hold fast what is good.

I never question God, but I do question religion. And most of all, I question the leaders of religion and what they teach. Does that make me an intellectual thinker? I don't see myself as that. I am more content to be a humble listener when God speaks to me. Through my heart and mind of course.

Me, because I'm one of them.
Questioning religion and god can turn a lot of people against you, but you've gotta get through that.
They don't question their faith because they're afraid of the "consequences".
What's the point in having faith in something that could possibly want to hurt you in a such a way?
They'll give you a long, long list of excuses and other crap... but you'll see. It's all one big contradiction.
Life has been better for me since.

To be an intellectual thinker, you must at some point question everything you believe, know or perceive. :)

I do for sure..You need to consider the evdience and question whether it actually fits the idea of religion and God, not just cover your ears and not really even question such an important belief.

You're right. You have to at one point just say, "from an intellectual standpoint, this makes no sense." Im not saying I dont beleive in religion, but I dont beleive that any religions got it right.
