the person making up that theory, is wrong themselves?

I tend to think it takes a liar to spot a "liar".

i think that the thoery is valid. however, the key is looking at the context in which the person is invoking this theory. if it's in a mere chat then probably just having a discussion.

if it's to cast judgment on someone else, then it may be because that person has done the exact same thing. being that he/she lied to avoid being wrong so now they think everyone does it too. meaning it takes one to know one OR it takes one to blame everyone else of doing it.
