Cutting your own bangs. I really want to cut a FEW bangs in my hair. I mean VERY FEW, but my mom won't let me do it because I supposedly won't be able to do it straight. But they are right in front, I can get them straight. And even if I didn't, I am going to curl them everyday, so you won't be able to tell...Also, do you think I should even do bangs again? I had them when I was little, like 11 was when I grew them all out. I have medium/light skin (working on that tan) and brown eyes. Dark hair, but I have reddish/blonde highlights. Thanks for any answers.

dont do it! just wait till you're able to get a professional to cut them

i have a friend who tried to cut his own hair, but accidentally shaved his head cause he made to many mistakes, and you could tell that he was embarrassed about it.

so i think is you want to get bangs, you should get them done by a professional. that's how i got them and they look great!

i have bangs and they were getting too long so i decided to cut them myself since i did not have time to go back to my hairstylist just for a trim in my bangs. i followed the line which was there already, or i thought i did anyway. yeah, it is NOT easy to do it yourself and i suggest you don't try it.

Ask your mom what she wants you to do with your bangs.
Maybe if she is the one who cut them in the past she might cut them again.
Maybe she might agree to take you to a professional to cut them.

If you're not a cosmetologist, don't do it! I screwed mine up big time trying to cut them on my own and it took SO SO long for them to grow again ;(
