There are vitamins and stuff in dog food that a dog needs. He can have a little bit of cat food. When I give my cats canned food a couple times a week, he usually gets a spoonful, and sometimes when I give the cats kitty treats he gets a couple too. But a dog should have a steady diet of dog food

That's what i used to do. One day the cat food was out and the dog started to eat it and liked it so now when ever i don't have dog food i feed it cat food.

P.S. My dog is still alive!!

Well u can but it's really not that great 4 them. Cat food is formulated especailly 4 cats. I mean u could feed your dog cat food all the time but ur dog would'nt get everything she/he needs. But cat food is great 4 when u run out of dog food, that has happened 2 me a couple of times & is just fine till u can run to the store & get sum more. :-)

cat food has more protein but dog food has everything else a growing dog needs... the best thing to do is ask you veteranerian... or, just stick to dog food.
