regular cream cheese on a cinnamon bagel is delicious, especially when the bagel is perfectly toasted. however i also really like:
1. scallion cream cheese + sesame bagel
2. sundried-tomato cream cheese + jalapeno cheddar bagel
3. regular cream cheese + dutch apple bagel
4. vegetable cream cheese + honey 7-grain bagel
5. scallion cream cheese + cranberry bagel (may sound weird to you, but it is especially delicious with smoked turkey!!)
6. regular cream cheese + cranberry-orange bagel
7. jalapeno cream cheese + sun-dried tomato bagel
8. pumpkin cream cheese + poppy seed bagel
these are some of the many combinations i order when i'm hungry but looking for something really simple at au bon pain, finagle-a-bagel or bruegger's...ok, maybe #5 wasn't just a cream cheese and bagel combo, but i had to mention it! i also get "light" cream cheese (except in regular, then i get the full-fat kind), if possible...as long as it's not fat-free, i can't really tell the difference.

I think original cream cheese was perfect and needs no flavor added. That said, I love plain cream cheese on a plain bagel.

I love good ol' fashioned original cream cheese on a plain ol' bagel. When I am in the mood for flavor, though I use strawberry cream cheese on plain bagel. (very rarely)

I room temp a package of cream cheese, and cut garlic and onion powder and parmesan cheese into it. I serve it on a toasted onion bagel. Don't know where I got the recipe, but it is so good!

Plain, toasted bagel, with strawberry or plain cream cheese. Or a cinnamon raisin, toasted bagel, with butter! Mmmmmmmm!!
