To the people venting your bile, the person asking is 12 years old, and doesn't need to be on the receiving end of your vitriol. Discuss your views with people who are more capable of standing up to you and defending their beliefs.
To the original poster... sweetheart, if you *want* a relationship with God, you just have to tell Him. I know that lots of people say it suddenly feels like you've watched fireworks, but it isn't always like that. Keep reading your bible, join a youth group at church, and spend time with God. It's wonderful that you feel it in your heart. Being close to God is like having any relationship. You get closer with time.
If you have a best friend, you didn't become best friends straight away, did you? It's the same with God. Wanting it is the first step. Just trust Him. He'll help you build a relationship with Him.
God bless you bunches and bunches.

Trust in God, not yourself or your feelings! "Having an intimate relationship with God" has little if not nothing to do with "feeling close to Him". What I mean is the first doesn't *depend* on the latter & thank God for that! Have you ever read the Psalms? Much of the time, the person is going on & on about God hiding His face from them, punishing them, abandoning them. That's what they feel, but is it objectively true? NO!
My advice is to find some objectivity in your faith. Don't worry about how you feel so much. It's not about you. It's about God *for you*. And that's the objective truth, straight from God's Word. (Oh man! I just figured out your 12!) But as a 12 year old you probably need help in interpreting God's Word, so you can apply it to your life.
The LCMS Lutheran church is the most likely place you are going to find objective truth. A pastor will teach you how to have a relationship with God. Feelings are the caboose, not the engine in any person's faith life.
At any rate, if your parents aren't taking you to church, find an LCMS congregation close to you: http://www.lcms.org/locators/nchurches/church.asp. Many of them hold Vacation Bible School (VBS) during the summer as well as Sunday School & Church Service. Find a church, ask them when VBS is. Then ask your parents if you can go.

We should include God in our daily lives the same way we would any other member of our family, only a much more important one! We should pray to Him, read His word, and meditate on verses in an effort to get to know Him better and be able to do His will. We should pray for wisdom, which is the most valuable asset we could ever have.
This personal relationship with Jesus that you are seeking is not as hard to find as you think; and there is no mysterious formula for getting it. As soon as we become children of God, we receive the Holy Spirit, who will begin work on our hearts. We should pray without ceasing, read the Bible, and join a Bible-believing church; all these things will grow us spiritually. Trusting in God to get you through each day, and believing that He is your sustainer is the way to have a relationship with Him. Although you may not see changes immediately, you will begin to see them over time, and all the truths will become more clear.

Grace(not law) unto you, and peace(not division),
from God our Father and the Lord Jesus->Christ.
Think, from "the end" that's already Pauline written,
is allegorically what God declared from the beginning:
Let there be light(only); Not lights nor light + darkness.
Peace with God is notably "through Jesus->Christ".
"Christ is the end of the law"; Saviour of "the world".
When you stop being divisional, start being global,
you'll have a relationship with "the God of all grace".
For "there is no respect of persons with God".
There's only respect of persons against God.
In saying 'christians like me', you're being division-all.
Not to mention you don't have a relationship with God.
So then christians like you also don't have one either.
Not to mention if the blind lead the blind, then both fall.
Perhaps what you call 'God's Word' is
actually plural and contrary "scriptures";
allegorically plural words of plural Gods,
which (law/grace) things are an allegory.
What is inspired of God in 2Timothy 3:16
isn't scriptures, but rather all "script-u-are".
As for "the word of God", which is "grace",
which is also "the word of reconciliation"
it's "sharper than any twoedged sword";
is to allegory say smarter than law law.
Bottom line: flush OT law & NT law for "grace is sufficient".
The GRACE(ONLY) of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Know your own true nature. There is a part of "you" that you don't have to think about. What is beating the heart? What is breathing even when there is no thought of breathing? What is it in you that always "feels", I am here? God waits for your attention. Be still, know I am God! Just beyond what you "think" of yourself or others is the ultimate relationship with Him.

When you pray and talk to the Lord just ask Him to reveal Himself to you. Just say, "Lord I want to know you." You are 12 years old and you will easily hear from the Lord if you continue to seek Him. Keep reading His word and eventually He will bring His Words to your mouth when you need them. He will give you words to say and you will wonder where they came from and then you'll remember that they had to come from the Lord. Ask God to fill you with the Holy Spirit to guide, teach and comfort you. Remind the Lord that He promises that His sheep will hear His voice and you want to hear His voice. Wait on the Lord, stay in His word and He will speak to you and make Himself known.

God already had an intimate relationship with a woman by the name of Mary, who was another man's wife, by the way. Nothing good came out of this relationship. Their boy Jesus was a troublemaker and got executed.
Do you really want to get into this kind of a mess?

I want to be really close to God, too. I love God with all my heart--like you. That yearning to be closer to God is a good thing because it keeps our eyes on God. Pray and read your Bible--learn all you can about God--our Father. Maybe you can pray for me to become closer to God and I will pray for you.---Lots Of hugs

no you may ever come to God with the aid of Jesus Christ. you would be able to desire to have faith in Jesus and what He did on the pass for you (taking your place on the pass so which you will not would desire to die on your sin), ask Him to be your own Lord and Savior. as quickly as you have executed that, liked, the main marvelous miracle will ensue. The Spirit of God will consistently stay interior you, your sin has been blotted out with the aid of the blood of the Lamb, you're made new, and there is now no barrier (sin) between you and God. you may consistently pray to God. Prayer isn't a spare tire which you bypass away and then use for emergency. you would be in consistent touch with God. Disciple your self to spend time with Him daily. Pray, examine the Bible, meditate. Ask God to grant you a keen heart, a fondness for Him. with out shadow of doubt, he will commence showing you extra of Himself and you will advance to love Him extra and comprehend Him extra. that is marvelous! seek for His face. Run the race. have faith me, it is going to likely be incredibly nicely worth it. =] God loves you, liked. would He bless you and save you. x

"This only One and very Self is omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent. This also every Christian acknowledges from his doctrine and every gentile from his religion. In consequence, wherever he is, a man thinks that God is there and that he prays to God at hand; thinking and praying so, men cannot but think that God is everywhere, that is, omnipresent [in all places at all times]; likewise omniscient [all knowing] and omnipotent [all powerful]. Everyone praying to God, therefore, implores Him from the heart to lead him because He can lead him; thus he acknowledges the divine omnipresence, omniscience and omnipotence, doing so in turning his face to the Lord; thereupon the truth flows in from the Lord" (Divine Providence n. 157).
