I'm bent on getting a tattoo, but it HAS to have meaning to me. I was thinking either my lower back,or foot/ankle for the location, but the image is still a vague area. I've had lots of ideas, but none seem perfect enough to be permanent. I'm really artistic and i'm into music, and I'm a writer. My family is close to me, and I was thinking of getting something to maybe honor my relationship with my sister and brother or etc. I;m going through a lot of changes right now. Any advice or ideas/suggestions?

Just because other people are getting them doesn't say you have to keep up with the "Joneses". I have a small one on my arm and over the years it had faded and looks terrible but then I don't even notice it any more and neither does any one else. My daughter has a couple, why she got them I don't know, maybe a small one like on your ankle, she has one there, it can be covered up when you wear socks, she also has one on her back on the right shoulder, no one sees this one, so why spend the money ?

Well, you are really insisting it has to have meaning to you....so since non of us know you, how can we really give you advice or suggestions? If it is still vague then wait awhile. When you finally know you'll know. If you really want suggestions ask those close to you like family and friends. They know you best.

You have to remember that it is forever!! There is no getting ride of it unless you have the money to pay to get it removed. I have tattoos and really regret getting them. I now am married and have kids and dont want them to think that it is ok to tattoo your body.

How about something that includes your brother and sister's name with music notes in the background...

You should definitely get your name in japanese on any part of your right arm, it's not dumb, and it's not too much... JUST COOL!
