I have been doing this for about a week now but I have been eating Special K Plus Protein with Light Soymilk and Light&Fit Carb/Sugar Control yogurt for breakfast, 100% whole wheat bread w/o high fructose corn syrup in it with provolone cheese and turkey with a little bit of light light miracle whip on it for lunch, and either the same thing for dinner or I'll have a turkey burger on the same bread with hot sauce or some soy burger sloppy joes made with ketchup, balsamic vinegar, worcheshire sauce, mustard. Then maybe for snack between lunch and dinner I'll have some lowfat cottage cheese.
Does this sound like a good diet?

To add on to that Ive been running 2-miles every other morning and on the off days doing leg lifts, pushups, and situps.

Will this help me lose like 20 pounds and tone up my muscles? And what other things can I do to help tone up.

sounds like you know what foods are good for you. i just think you are not eating enough.
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Yeah, I'm pretty tired atm so this answer mightn't be all that smash but it sounds like you've got a decent diet for yourself. Although whenever you're losing weight you will also be losing muscle. In order for your body to build muscle I believe you'll need a higher protein intake but somebody else can back me up on that.

Oh and also, the human body is lazy so vary your routine once every three weeks or so.

In short, yeah I believe that you'll lose 20 pounds and tone up some muscle. I was actually in your shoes once and just started doing Hapkido and a bit of running etc. seemed to work for me.

Someone will supply a bigger precise reply a little bit later I'm somewhat busy, however I'll supply you only a rapid bit of recommendation: The meals you're consuming sounds well, simply do not forget should you wish to preserve/obtain muscle groups (but it surely feels like you're wasting weight) hold your self fed simply adequate. Fats are simplest to collapse, so the frame will transfer onto fats garage previous to breaking down muscle. As a person, you retailer so much of your fats for your belly so if you'll see a 4pack then I can instantly inform your frame fats percent is really low besides. I'd like to look you lifting weights in durations of 1hr at a time, three days every week, separated a minimum of one million day to supply your muscle mass a leisure. Doing pushups all day in successive days won't reap outcome as quick because the aforementioned idea that I made. Remember to combine it up, DON'T do just situps should you wish well abs. Every 4 weeks difference your coaching application and hold your frame offbalance.

My job prevents me from losing weight. I eat as I normally do but in the last 6 months, I gained so much weight that makes me so mad. I don't snack, rarely drink soda. I eat the same amount of food as I used to eat but I guess sitting on my butt all day doesn't help. I eat much less than you described and I'm still gaining weight.
I think running or walking would help.

Your diet is incredible, just lacking in herbal's such as ginko and ginseng. A daily sweating of a few minute's to half hour workout, or a dry sauna would tone you down fastest, and if not then your natural body sculture (designed by evolution-god or the devil or whatever make's us like we are) would result from best practice's of food and exercise. Over the year's ahead it would be ideal for you to find the exact calorie intake with herbal's guideing body functionability

It sounds as if you're being really healthy. The only problem I see with this is that your body adapts very quickly. If you want to continue to lose weight, then you have to increase how much you exercise every day, and/or change how much you eat every day.
