I'm a single guy in my mid-twenties thinking about getting a guinea pig (I live in an apartment so I can't really have a dog or something). But I'm affraid people would look at me wierd because a guinea pig is kind of a kid thing and not something an adult has. So my question is to the women here...would you date a guy who had a guinea pig or would you be put off by that?

You don't get out much do you? YOUR choice of pet shouldn't be based on whether or not you get a date.
Bottom line; if you have to ask a question like that then you don't need a guinea pig.
If you should end up dating someone that doesn't like guinea pigs, hamsters or any type of caged pet, the best thing for you to do is to keep it in the cage when your lady is about. It's that simple.
You sound like if some girl doesn't like you as long as you have a guinea pig then you'll dump the guinea pig for the girl.
Dude, girls will come and go during your dating lifetime but a pet remains true.

Heck yes I'd date a guy who owned a guinea pig - I'd probably even marry him. And if we broke up, I'd come over and visit the guinea pig, that's how much I love them.
I just graduated college - I had them in middle school/high school. Once I get my own place, that's one of the first things I'm doing (buying guinea pigs).

I know plenty of grown men (single & taken) who have pet guinea pigs!!!!! (I am a member of a cavy club that's how I know a lot)
Don't be ashamed of it!!!
Most (?) women are animal lovers so are sure to find it cute that you have one.
If you were a bit younger (I'm 16) I would definitely be intrigued because I have 11 guinea pigs myself!!
Oh and remember... guinea pigs have to live in pairs! So get 2... or none!

I would definitely date a guy with a guinea pig. First off it shows that you care for others and don't mind cleaning once in a while. Secondly, the pigs could have play dates. That would be adorable. :D

Of course! Don't feel wierd about it--I'm in my mid-twenties and I have a gerbil. I just happen to prefer them to cats and dogs. Having a pet shows girls that you are a sensitive guy who can take good care of another living thing. (This is something you can really play up with us ladies--I'm trying to help you out here). If you can take good care of your guinea pig, isn't it more than likely that you know how to take good care of a lady? Anyway, I don't think you've got anything to worry about. Chicks dig dudes with cute pets.

OK who told a guinea pig is for kids i know a lady who has lots of guinea pigs she wins prizes and medals with them she is like 40. and some people would think your even better cause you care for somthin other than your self.

Um, I would date a guy with a guinea pig, but the fact that u seem worried about it tells me ur not confident, and that's why I wouldn't date you. Lack of confidence is the biggest turn off ever. If you want a guniea pig get one, who cares? Do you really want to date a girl, who wont date you or would break up with you because you have a guniea pig, no.

i dont think women wouldn't date you because of a guinea pig, as long as they're not allergic or the guinea pig doesn't bother them.. and yes, i would date a guy with a guinea pig.

I think Guinea Pigs rock, actually I think its attractive for a guy to have a smaller pet. =D I'd so get one if I were you. If I was your date, I'd be proud of you (since I'm a animal lover) that you have a pet, a small one. It makes you seem gentle. XD

i think of it would be slightly peculiar, yet in reality i like peculiar. besides, who am I to decide? i'm residing in a 0.33 floor walk up with 4 cats. It became by no potential meant to be like this, yet howdy... it incredibly is what it incredibly is. So get that guinea pig and experience his company!
