I have been seriously dating my boyfriend for almost a year, and it is a long distance relationship. I sometimes take a look at his my space profile, being curious and missing him. He recently updated his profile, and it says that he is there for networking, friends and DATING. It never said that before. I am not sure what to think or how or if I should confront him with this information. Serious advice only, please. Thank you for your help.

I would suggest talking to your boyfriend. But try not to get too upset about it. People tend to get too fired up about whats on myspace pages. Honestly, I believe its not too big of deal, but still worth asking about.

Well what you can do is this.....You can test him to see what is really going on by going under cover. Make up a new my space and get a friends pic to use and put any information you like (you can close it later) then start flirting with him ask him if he has a girlfriend etc....You will get the answer you need to see if he's really being straight with you or not. If he claims no GF and flirts with you then drop him like a bad habit and move on it's a little sneaky I guess but at least you will know were you two stand and if you need to move on.....

Well give him the benefit. My husband and I have separate accounts and he was looking at mine the other day and it said that my income was some huge amount and that I was Hispanic. Both of which are not true. I went into my page to change it, thinking that maybe I accidentally changed it while updating my page, but everything was fine...all what I had put it. A couple days later it fixed its self...so maybe that is what happened...or maybe he accidentally clicked that box...accidents happen.

Let it go. Maybe he hasnt thought about it since you two have been together so he wasnt even thought to change it. People make simple mistakes you have to learn to forgive and to forget.

The only thing you can do is to contact him and ask him to explain it to you. As uncomfortable as it may be, it is the only way to find out why he put it there.

Well apparantly, he's not as "serious" as you are, so why don't you date also, You two are not married, so, let him do as he will "without" your permission, and you have a good time also
