now that it has completely heales, it has left a darkened spot on my arm a little larger than the size of a quarter coin. i want to make the darkened spot disappear or at least lighten it up so as it won't be obvious. what can you recommend? the darkened spot has been there for over a month now. what do you recommend i do? thanks very much.

The dark spot is just a scar which might always be there, but most likely will fade over time. I'm allergic to many types of bugs so most of my bites swell, all of my scars have gone away over time. I would just put foundation makeup over the spots to make them less noticeable. I would also suggest going to a dermatologist and asking for their opinion.

Definitely see a dermatologist. But if it's really bothering you in the meantime, you can cover it up. If the spot is red or reddish, dab a little green concealer on it (Physicians Formula makes a green concealer stick), blend it in, and cover it with some pressed powder. If the spot is purple-ish do the same thing except use a little yellow concealer. It's a little bit of Art 101--green and red are complimentary colors which neutralize eachother, as are purple and yellow. Hope this helps!
