I've had problem skin growing up. It sucked because no matter the brand of cleansers and washes I bought at the store, they NEVER helped (Neutrogena, Clearasil, Clean and Clear, Proactiv and even higher end stuff that cost $30-$75). I used to have red spots all over my face that were from previous pimples and even when my skin was clear my skin still looked like crap and it looked like I still had acne. Until I found Alpha Hydrox on drugstore.com! I swear by this regimen! I can guarantee you'll see results with these products and they're all on drugstore.com. Wash only once a day with all this stuff, at night, and within a week you'll see change. I felt so helpless with my skin until these products.
Alpha Hydrox Nourishing Cleanser (this will shrink your pores in a week and blackheads are less noticeable), Biore's Triple Action Astringent (I love this stuff. It's the only toner that's ever helped my skin), Alpha Hydrox Fade cream (this will make your skin really red for a little bit after applying it, but it will go away. It might even sting/burn slightly for a couple minutes as well but that will go away within a few days and it's totally normal), and end it with an oil-free moisterizer WITH SPF and Alpha Hydrox has some that's good and so does Biore. The active ingredient in the Fade Cream makes your skin sensitive to sunlight so you have to use a moisturizer that has SPF or your face will go red when you go outside. The Fade Cream is $11 but lasts for at least 2 months. I know this is long but I know how you feel and I really think you'd benefit from this stuff. Good luck! Hello,
Controlling acne is a full-time job and honestly nothing works quickly. You have to get to the root of the problem so to speak, assess your skin type, etc. Proactiv works for some, not for others. Everyone is different. You really should get your parents to take you to a dermatologist who can properly guide you to products that will help control acne. Trust me, obsessing over skin is not necessary and you will be much happier when you can properly fix this. Sometimes over the counter products just are not good enough.

This might sound crazy but I've used this trick many times...toothpaste! Dab a small amount of toothpaste on the area before bed and when you wake up, it should be much better. That's what I do. It works and it's cheaper than buying an expensive skin care system. Hope it works for you!

A natural way to get rid of zits is to get some salt water and apply it to the zits. This will dry them up. You may have to do this a few times but it does work.

proactive works really well. Also make sure you are drinking lots of water and eating healthy. Use a good moisturizer at night, and also let your skin get some sun on a daily basis. I find that the vitamin D you get from the sun helps my skin look fresh.

when you go to the doctor, ask them what they can get you..i used triaz for a while and it worked pretty quickly but you have to use it every night you can't just decide not to do it one week (i did that) or the acne will come back. if it's REALLY bad, i'd go to a dermatologist.
