I think they should have moved it to Mon. to get to whole 500 miles in. I didn't find that race too entertaining today. It bored me honestly

Ok funny Greg 111.
Reading other people's answers and questions, I feel some tension in this forum between Jeff Gordon fans and non fans. Immatuity. I still like Kevin Harvick and he hasn't had the best of a year.

Giantsfn4life - I didn't mention anything about Gordon's win in this question incase you thought I did. I'm not hating over that. Mellow out, you taking one thing and turning it into something else.

Well, hummm. I suppose since Gorden wins I congrats him for that, the team made a good call on pit strats. However, I am not too happy with the way they called the race.
Don't get me wrong, rain means yellow flag. I accept that. But when it is thrown as one driver is passing another driver for the lead and there was no rain on the track where they was running.
I disagree with that when the leader would of been passed. Call the race at the end of a lap when the leader crosses the line. NASCAR, you done it again and it's pushing me away where I am starting to care less if I watch racing anymore or not.

Monday's forcast for Pocono looks even worse, 60% chance of rain, so I doubt it would even work if they did that.
It was too insane for me, with all that was going on, one moment I was yelling for rain, the next moment I was yelling for no rain. Also, that wierd strategy made things even crazier, the running order really got mixed up. The best car didn't win, Hamlin was the fastest all day, but he got 6th. Newman, Truex, Stewart, and Hamlin were the guys that I thought deserved a win today.
And the finish? Fans are making this into a controversy, but I don't believe a single word about NASCAR handing the win to Gordon. I say this makes Gordon the lukiest(and one of the best) driver in the world for yet another day.

Thats Pocono for you. BORING! And its not because Jeff Gordon won either, it just took so long to start and I guess I just lost interest in it. I do think your right when you said they should have just raced on Monday so we could have seen a 500 mile race. Maybe then the race would have been a little more exciting.

Here we go again. Jeff Gordon wins and all you people can think about is that he won under yellow like Nascar wanted it. You know the rain did have something to do about it, and it was going to get dark before they could start it again. Ryan Newman owned todays race, but Steve Letarte was the man with the plan.

You might have thought it should be moved to Monday, but the people who paid for tickets and wouldn't be able to come back Monday wouldn't have been to thrilled about that, especially if it was a first time event for them. They just can't say we will wait every race day until there is going to be no weather problems, thats apart of the sport too.

Should have waited till Monday, my opinion, another way to Give one to Jeff, if not, why did they not call it when Edwards was screaming its raining in 1 over his radio 6 laps earlier??? They waited till the 99 had pulled off, then called it...nascar strikes again

I thought it was a little boring too. But it wasn't too much fun for me because suddenly my house starting getting hot and I was burning up. I think something has went wrong with my a/c unit. I was glad when it ended, I waited forever for it to start and then the red flagged it, I was thinkning please end, I've had enough for the day.

yeah I would have to agree. Pocono is just to big for its own good. The pending rain was the only excitement.
