Yes, birds can lay eggs that are unfertilized. My parrot has layed numorous eggs and she has never ever been with a male. I hope this helps!

A bird can bond with it's companion either human or another bird and produce eggs in anticipation of breeding. This is very common but this bird is in "Love" with who is another question.

Yes, except the eggs won't hatch into a chick. This happened to my pet parakeet. She laid eggs, but since there was no male, the eggs never hatched into anything.

Yes they can, they won't be fertile. You want to watch them tho, if they do it too often they run the risk of egg binding or depleting their bodies of calcium. Also if you have a mirror in it's cage, remove it. Sometimes they think it is their mate.
