If you feel that the door may be closing, you may be right. God knows who He has chosen for you, and this young woman may not be the right one for you.
I met my (future) wife when at a church youth group campout. I had been praying for a wife, and had waited, trusting the Lord to bring her into my life when He felt we were both ready.
I had seen the young lady at church, and thought she was cute, but hadn't thought much beyond that. Anyway, when I got to the camp site, I saw her in the distance walking in my direction and a quiet voice told me, "You've just met your future wife".
I was stunned, and later she told me that at that moment, she saw me and knew that I was to be her husband. We have been happily married for 30 years now, and we're still going strong, whereas every other member of my family for several generations has been divorced at least once.
It hurts to lose someone you dearly love, my brother, believe me, I have been there many times. But when you let God make the choice for you, the waiting will have been worth it. He knows the hearts of both men and women, and He knows who will be the best for you. If the young lady of whom you speak leaves, He could be sparing you both future misery, bitterness and heartbreak.
Trust Him that He knows what is best for you. I will also keep you in prayer that He will bring you peace and patience to wait for the one whom He has prepared for you.

You will be "Just Fine" because You are Trusting God to SHOW YOU the way. And He Will do Just that. He seems to be closing the door for you and this Young Lady how-ever, WHEN GOD CLOSES A DOOR, He opens A Window. God will Honor you for obeying Him and Trusting Him. He Has Someone else Planned for You, and She will Be A Dream. (Straight from Heaven) So, Do Not get discouraged, And Wait on the Lord. You won't be SORRY. I will surely be Praying for You, while GOD Is Working. Just Keep The Faith. God Loves You Unconditionally! Walk Tall In Jesus. + + +

Yes I have read these scriptures many times and I did again just now per your request. All scriptures aside, we read the story of John the baptist coming before Jesus so when the time was right, Jesus had to fulfill his Father in Heaven's plan of being baptized by immersion (totally under water) and immediately the Holy Spirit descended upon him in the form of a dove. In my Christian religion, our children are baptized at 8 yrs old and soon after are confirmed a member of the church and given the gift of the Holy Ghost/Spirit by a higher priesthood holder. So taking in account of Father in Heaven's perfect plan for our salvation, the Holy Spirit has very specific purposes for us here on earth. To comfort us, to confirm that what we are reading or listening to or watching a video is the absolute truth. Without any doubt, the Holy Spirit DOES comfort people who are ill, in pain, distraught over the death of a loved one and those who seek further knowledge can read John 1:5. In the scriptures of your question, Jesus is telling us, through my father you will know me by the Holy Ghost.

I will pray. God give him grace.......... whatever happens.
Just some caring advice. Whenever you feel that ache and missing her and you want to hug or be with her, give her REAL love in "God hugs" is what I will call it. Meaning: pray intensly for her and let that care/love that you have go where it COUNTS the most. That is the most REAL authentic deep love we can have for someone.
I know, I have experienced it for myself. God heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Pray for her daily. Give her space. Give her time. Focus on firendship at first and then once she releases her feelings for the old lover, gradually move on to romance, if that what God leads y'all to do.

Lifting you up in prayer, bro. Your seeking His will instead of wanting Him to give you what you want gives Him the room to move powerfully in your life.
Things will work out just fine :o)
God bless you always.
