has anyone heard of or used K9 Advantix? Is it better than Frontline Plus?

Frontline Plus is the way to go. DO NOT buy at pet meds express, nobody knows where they stuff is coming from or how old it is. For heartworm prevention use Heartgard. Just my opinion.

I really like Frontline - I live in a very wooded area with lots of deer and have not found a tick (or flea) on my dog in 7 years.

I tried Revolution last summer. We had a particularly BAD mosquito season last year and the Revolution had no effect on the mosquitos - I could actually watch them landing on my dog.

I just make sure my dog is always on heartworm preventative (HeartGard) and has access to a mosquito free area. A small fan to move the air around where she sleeps keeps mosquitos from landing - they're not very strong flyers.

Oh, stay away from the stuff you find in pet stores/WalMart like Hartz products - they are really dangerous products. Not worth sving a few bucks - trust me.

To do all 3, Revolution is the best choice. Frontline Plus and Advantage don't do mosquitoes.

I prefer Adams spray to repell and now use Advantage for fleas. Frontline Plus doesn't seem to work as well as it did, at least in Florida.

We use Frontline Plus for our dogs and it seems to do pretty well. I have also heard about Sentinel that covers not only fleas but protects against heartworm as well.

At my house we use Frontline Plus, and that really works, but I have also heard that k-9 advantex works too. (sorry about Spelling)

True ginbark! Adams is very good! My Dad uses it on his beagles. When He;s out of Adams, He uses my fly spray for horses. Happy Horse Fly Spray. I know it works on horses, and Dad says it sure keeps the flies and tick off his beagles. But as far as puppies go, I would use adams, but read the labels.. Good luck!
