The only thing that you have to be concerned about is that chicken bones splinter when the dog chew them. They can then get caught in the dogs throat. If you Lab isn't choking or having problems with his throat then you are alright. In the future try to keep chicken bones away from him. I just had to put my Lab down after having him for 17 years. Great Dogs.

My 9 year old german shepherd (around 95 lbs.) got in the trash and ate a whole bunch of chicken bones while my husband and I were out. She didn't have any bad effects from it fortunately, however, chicken bones do tend to splinter more than other bones, and could cause problems. Keep an eye on him - make sure he continues to go to the bathroom. If you notice anything out of the ordinary, take him to the vet pronto.

A week ago our Chihuahua- 8 years old- got a hold of the rest of our dinner that was still inside its container. Only little bits of the rest of the duck was here and there... and when she passed stool in our front yard there were strips of duck bones with the stool but not together... it wasn't mixed with it... so I don't know, if she passed it down there or if she spit it out.
She seems to be fine.... her stool is normal- no blood or anything. Duck bones are softer, though... keep on observing your dog. If you type in this question in the question search feature here, you will read about people's dogs having eaten a whole chicken with bones and all without anything happening to them....

Though there is some risk of an intestinal perforation or blockage, chances are it will pass on its own. Keep a close eye on your dog for the next few days and if he shows any signs of abdominal pain or distress, take him to the vet immediately.

you mustn't supply a canine chicken, steak or beef bones with the aid of fact they chew them up. The bones ought to splinter and injury their digestive device. different than toys and chews offered in particular for chewing the only secure element is a great ham bone, which they are in a position to gnaw on. you should kill your canine.

My dogs [Basset Hounds] steal chicken bones and pork bones from us daily.
People say they kill..but my one Basset has been eating them for 9 years.
He'll be fine. Don't listen to the people who tell you he's going to die and everything.
they're full of it.

He will be fine, I know a lab that tore apart a vacume cleaner then ate the parts. He hated it when we vacumed so he ate it.
