edgy/elegant haircut/style?

Okay. I want a haircut or hairstyle that looks edgy and elegant. I have slightly wavy hair, but the bottom layers are kinky-curly in some places, so straightening it is hard. So, does anyone have any ideas of a cut or a way to style it so that it looks edgy and elegant, and takes less than a half hour to do each day?
