You haven't said what kind of bird it is, but most baby birds have the same diet. If you know it is a pigeon or dove, get EXACT at a pet store. It is a parrot hand-feeding formula that works well with pigeons and softbills.
If it looks like it could be a sparrow or other kind of insect eating bird, they need a diet with lots of protein and moistened cat food does the trick.
If it's a carnivorous bird like a crow or a hawk, it needs a high protein diet with meat included. The website below should give you the information you need, and if you can identify the bird use google to search "baby bird care" and find out what it needs.
Whatever it is, it needs to stay very warm. You should put a heating pad in a shoebox on LOW and put a towel over it. Put the baby bird on th towel and then put another towel over the bird to hold the heat in. It needs to stay between 80 and 90 degrees for the baby to stay healthy.
NEVER give the baby bird water, or anything watery unless you know it's a pigeon or dove. Pigeons and doves need a liquid diet, but any other kind of bird will drown if you give it a liquid. Message me with any other questions, but remember to include the website for this post so I know who the message is from.

If the bird is fully feathered, it is most likely a fledgling and has left the nest on it's own and it's parents are caring for it. You need to replace it where you found it..preferably in a scrub or tree so it is relatively safe from predators, and the parents should come back to feed it. If it is unfeathered...then look for a nest and if you can find it...replace it into the nest. Do not worry about your scent being on the chick..birds have a very poorly developed sense of smell and will NOT reject a baby that has been touched. If you cannot find a nest, get the bird to a local wildlife rehab for it's best chance of survival. Also, keep in mind, it is illegal for you to try and raise this bird on your own.

I once raised a baby black bird. It was pretty time consuming. I fed it water with an eye dropper just a drop at a time so it wouldn't choke. And when I couldn't catch bugs to feed it I would feed it small pieces of night crawlers. I had to buy them at the store. I tried to give it as much variety as possible. Like if it had been with its mother. It seemed to work out fine. I raised it from a very young age it had no feathers at all just fuzz. It took a few weeks but it made it back out into the wild. That was quite an experience.

positioned the chook returned the place you stumbled on it. even regardless of the undeniable fact that the others have been lifeless, the mothers and dads will nevertheless feed her and prepare her to fly. it extremely is how birds do it....they hatch, the mother feeds them, they fall out or leap out of the nest and stay on the floor or interior the timber until eventually they learn how to fly. the mothers and dads shield them mutually as they're on the floor. you're interefering with the care of the mothers and dads. The others could have died leaving the nest, or killed by potential of a few predator.

Yes. Get an eyedropper, feed it baby cereal mixed with water. do not buy the kind with fruit in it. You can also feed it canned dog food. Do not give it water in the dropper. It gets it water in the food.
