I could accept him if he wasn't catered too by NASCAR. They literally kiss his butt. He gets everything handed to him, he gets everything his way. And it all because NASCAR feels sorry for his past life and most importantly, doesn't want to hear him whine and cry about not winning. He's a baby. Real men don't whine and cry. But when you got a sissy out on the track, guess you have to kiss thier tail to make them happy. Sissy girls whine and cry.

The war between the fans of Jeff Gordon and Dale Jr is over people. It is time to unite and be one. When you stop to think about it, this team combination should make racing much more interesting: Jeff will be #1, Jimmy #2, and Dale Jr #3 in the pecking order. Will these three work together during a race? Or will it be every man for himself? And I am and always will be a Dale Sr fan, but I really do think this new team combination will heat NASCAR up a little! Wonder what Dale Sr thinks about all of this?

I'm not a huge NASCAR fan so I think I can give a real answer here... If u step back and look at the big picture, the history and the recent popularity explosion of the sport (and by the way, it IS a true sport) you'll see that the back-bone of NASCAR is that of hard working, blue collar fans, i.e. Dale Sr. types. I think Sr. made Jr. cut the grass 'till he died! Now (baby faced) Gordon comes along and steals some thunder without growing up in that blue collar environment. There's a lot of resentment among the old-timers, and even they're kids. It will take years for it to evolve but history will prove and our grand kids will know Dale Sr., Dale Jr. AND Jeff Gordon all as winners.

That addage it's not how you win just that you do, is a bunch of pooh. It does matter how. If you say it doesn't matter just look at how Dale, Sr. died. All because one man just had to pick up one more place, one man, a great racer, had to lose his life. Sr. had even commented that Jeff was going to be the next great one. There are alot of good, even great racers on that track, It can go either way at any time. The trick is to know when to zig or when you should zag. By the way I'm a huge Jeff fan but I cried for weeks when Sr. died. I was even hoping he would win another championship that year.

To the Dale senior fans. HE IS DEAD!!!
Senior fans are mad because Gordon has a better win ratio than Dale senior did. Gordon gave Senior some serious competition when he started. That pissed a lot of Earnhardt fans off. Even though the two were business partners.

If everyone were a fan of just one driver then why have the other 42 drivers?
I was a fan of Darrell Waltrip but not Mike,I was a fan of Earnhard Senior but not Junior and As for Gordon no he is not in my top 10.
But in respect to Gordon he is one of the top 5 NASCAR divers in the past 25 years, could be of all time.

Because the majority of Nascar fans are bandwagon Junior Fans that believe he is Dale Sr. incarnate.
To most Junior fans: Incarnate means possessing or existing in bodily form..or in more easily understood terms, you believe that Dale Sr. is alive in the body of Dale Jr.

Because the same reason they don't like Kurt Bush before he tired to kill someone with his car two weeks ago. They are both winners. And NASCAR fans hate winners. I am a big Carl Edwards fan but I don't hate J.G. I just he and the Hendrick camp would let others win this year. You can't blam Hendrick or Gordon. Hendrick is out to win and he goes and test more then any other team.

I think you're exaggerating the "becoming Dale Sr." part. If anyone has become anything like the Intimidator, it might be Stewart.
People just always seem to accept conspiracy theories, they always have, no matter how outrageous it seems.
Gordon has earned most of his wins, he got lucky on the rest, like today's, but he NEVER gets handed a win.

He cries to much. Have you ever heard the saying: The one with the most money wins!
Gordon got lucky when he signed up with Hendricks. I heard him at a race on my scanner and he thought he had a flat, But his crew had to tell him that was called pushing, He doesn't even Know whats wrong with a car. With his first wife he would pray before a race, Then when he was falling behind he would cuss like a sailor. I have no respect for him.

I agree I'm a die hard Jr fan and I can appreciate that my driver is not the "Best", I respect all the drivers! And in all honesty every good driver has his good year and bad year. Look at Kasey Kahne last year he was on fire, this year it's like Kasey who? Matt Kenseth in 2003 was untouchable, this year Matt who? That's what makes this sport so great it's ever changing and it's never the same game twice!
